Objective:Observing the clinical effect by using Bazhenfuming decoction which can supplement Qi and nourish blood to adjust the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)status of patients with high myopia orally and the effect on short ciliary arterial blood flow parameters and Mean Deviation(MD).Exploring the possible mechanism and evaluation parameters of Bazhenfuming decoction in the treatment of high myopia to provide new ideas for controlling the development of high myopia and the prevention of related complications.Methods:Sixty-four patients with clinically diagnosed high myopia who were classified as qi and blood deficiency by TCM status were randomly selected.32 patients and 63 eyes in the TCM group and 32 patients in the control group were included in the study,and 62 patients and 122 eyes were completed.The patients in the TCM group wore frame glasses after medical optometry,combined with the Bazhenfuming decoction,a treatment course of 2 weeks was a total of 2 course;the control group only wore frame glasses for refractive correction.Before and after treatment,the eyesight,diopter,axial length,posterior ciliary artery peak systolic velocity(PSV),end diastolic velocity(EDV),resistance index(RI),and visual field index MD were included to identify the state of TCM.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0 software.Results:1.The Spearman correlation coefficient is 0.864,-0.581,-0.551,-0.636,0.401 for diopter and axial length,MD,PSV,EDV,and RI;Spearman correlation coefficients of the length of the eye axis and the posterior ciliary artery PSV,EDV,RI is-0.568,-0.626,0.374.All P <0.05,with statistical significance.2.The Spearman correlation coefficients of Qi deficiency syndrome,blood deficiency syndrome and diopter dioptric power is 0.631,0.699,and it is 0.508,0.555 for Qi deficiency syndrome,blood deficiency syndrome and axial length.The Pearson correlation coefficient is-0.533,-0.524 for Qi deficiency syndrome,blood deficiency syndrome and MD.The Pearson correlation coefficients of Qi deficiency syndrome points and PSV,EDV,RI of short ciliary artery is-0.389,-0.417,0.248;and it is-0.386,-0.409,0.222 for blood deficiency syndrome points and PSV,EDV,RI of short ciliary artery.All P<0.05,with statistical significance.3.The scores of Qi deficiency and blood deficiency syndromes in the TCM group were(154.48±22.34)and(157.11±16.18)before treatment,and those in the control group were(152.14±17.43)and(152.40±17.87)respectively.The syndrome scores were(123.76±19.24)and(130.85±16.63)respectively,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The syndrome scores of Qi deficiency and blood deficiency syndromes in the control group were(151.86±16.27)and(152.41±17.54)respectively.The difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).4.The classification of TCM status changes after treatment,the difference in the TCM group is statistically significant(P<0.05),and it is not statistically significant(P> 0.05)in the control group.The total effective rate of TCM status adjustment is 93.55% in the TCM group,0.03% in the control,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The PSV of the posterior ciliary artery in the TCM group was(10.74±2.42)cm/s,the EDV was(2.87±0.85)cm/s,the RI was(0.74±0.04),and the control group PSV was(10.43±2.44)cm/s,EDV is(2.87±0.85)cm/s,RI is(0.72±0.04).After treatment,PSV in the TCM group was(12.18±2.34)cm/s,EDV was(3.49±0.83)cm/s,and RI was(0.71±0.03)(both P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the control group(both P>0.05).6.The MD before treatment was(-4.54±2.18)dB in the TCM group and(-4.14±1.96)dB in the control group.And it was(-4.26±2.14)dB(P<0.05)in the TCM group,(-4.13±1.97)dB(P>0.05)after treatment.7.One patient(two eyes)in each group fell off due to failure to adhere to follow-up treatment.Conclusions:1.The diopter of patients with high myopia is positively correlated with axial length,RI of the posterior ciliary artery,and negatively correlated with the PSV and EDV of the posterior ciliary artery and MD.2.The Qi deficiency syndrome score and blood deficiency syndrome score is positively correlated with diopter,axial length,RI of posterior ciliary artery,and negatively correlated with PSV and EDV of posterior ciliary artery and MD.3.The method of supplementing qi and nourishing blood can effectively reduce the score of qi deficiency and blood deficiency syndrome in high myopia patients with qi and blood deficiency and improve the state of deficiency of qi and blood.4.With the improvement of the state of qi and blood deficiency in high myopia,the blood flow velocity of posterior ciliary artery increases,and the vascular resistance decreases;the MD and the visual light sensitivity increases.
