Efficacy Analysis Of Shenxiong Glucose Injection In Treating Elderly Burn Patients

Objective: To study the application of Shenxiong Glucose Injection in the treatment of elderly burn patients and to explore its efficacy.Methods: A retrospective summary of 126 elderly burn patients with an age of ? 60 years and a burn depth of two degrees were treated in the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2010 to January 2019.During the treatment,the patients treated with Shenxiong glucose injection were treated as the treatment group,with 65 cases.The patients who were not treated with Shenxiong glucose injection were treated as the control group,with 61 cases.After admission,both groups were given intravenous fluids,anti-Infection,wound debridement,dressing change,and other conventional treatments were compared statistically in the two groups of patients with deep and shallow second-degree wound healing time,wound infection rate,complication rate,scar status,total hospitalization cost,and second-stage surgery.Chi-square test was used for counting data,and t-test or rank-sum test was used for measurement data.Results:1.Healing time of deep second degree wounds: comparing the two groups according to severity,mild(Z=-2.21,P=0.027),moderate(Z=-2.88,P=0.004),and severe(Z=-2.05,P=0.04),the wound healing time in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group,both P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.2.Healing time of shallow second degree wounds: comparing the two groups according to severity,mild(Z=-2.11,P=0.035),moderate(Z=-2.35,P=0.019),severe(Z=-2.16,P= 0.031),the wound healing time was shorter in the treatment group than in the control group,all were P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.3.Wound infection: The incidence of wound infection was compared between the two groups of patients with mild burns,P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant(?2=0.33,P=0.568);compared with the patients with moderate burns,(?2=4.15),P=0.042).Compared with the severe patients in the two groups(P=0.008),the incidence of wound infection was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant.4.Complications: Compared with the control group,the incidence of lung infection in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(?2=5.39,P=0.020),the difference was statistically significant.There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications such as shock and lower extremity venous thrombosis between the two groups.5.Scar hyperplasia: The Vancouver Scar Evaluation Scale score in the treatment group was(0.85±1.14)points,which was lower than the control group(1.49±1.32)points(?2=-2.98,P=0.003),and the difference was statistically significant.6.Rehospitalization rate: The rate of rehospitalization of patients with hypertrophy of extremities in the treatment group was 4.8%,which was lower than 17.2% in the control group(?2=4.78,P=0.029).The difference was statistically significant.The hospitalization rate was 0,which was lower than the control group by 8.3%(P=1.00),and the difference was not statistically significant.The rehospitalization rate of trunk hyperplasia patients was 0,with no significant difference.7.Total cost of treatment: The total cost of hospitalization for mild patients in the treatment group was(8529.9±1781)yuan,which was lower than that in the control group(11993.95±5044.5)yuan(Z=-3.11,P=0.002);moderate patients in the treatment group were(14576.61±6400.63)yuan,lower than the control group(18707.7±8108.78)yuan(Z=-2.31,P=0.021);severe patients in the treatment group were(34053.37±11748.99)yuan,which was lower than the control group(48490.44±10412.13)yuan(Z=-2.57,P=0.01),the differences were statistically significant.Conclusions:The application of Shenxiong glucose injection in the treatment of elderly burn patients can shorten the healing time of deep and shallow wounds,? ?reduce the rate of wound infection,reduce the incidence of complications,reduce the degree of scar hyperplasia,reduce the rate of rehospital surgery,and the total cost.It will also be relatively reduced,the treatment effect is definite,and it is worth applying in the treatment of elderly burn patients.
