ObjectiveThe Purpose of this study is to observe the difference of clinical efficacy, safety and compliance of hanging acupuncture combined with ear moxibustion and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of facial spasm,so as to Provide an effective, convenient and safe comprehensive treatment plan for the clinical treatment of facial spasm.MethodsIn this study,66 patients with hemifacial spasm were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 33 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with hanging acupuncture combined with ear moxibustion, while the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. Both groups received treatment once every other day and three times a week, the total course of treatment was 6 weeks. Before and after treatment, the efficacy rating scale used Cohen Facial Spasm, frequency of Penn Facial Muscle Spasm and facial disability index(FDI)were compared to evaluate the difference in efficacy between the two groups.Results1.The baseline results of the two groups showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2.According to the evaluation of Cohen facial muscle spasm Strength:Intra-group Comparison:There was significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.01).Inter-group comparison:After treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.According to the frequency evaluation of Penn facial muscle spasm:Intra-group Comparison: the difference between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.01).Inter-group comparison:the difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.According to FDI score: before and after treatment,FDI body function score increased in the two groups, with statistically significant difference(P<0.01),but no statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P >0.05).There was a statistically significant decrease in FDI social function score before and after treatment in the two groups(P < 0.05),and a statistically significant difference in FDI social function score after treatment between the two groups(P<0.05).5.Comparison of overall efficacy: the total effective rate of the observation group was 90.00%.The total effective rate of the control group was 76.67%.The difference in the overall efficacy of the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.There was no statistically significant difference in safety and compliance between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The treatment of both groups can improve the symptoms of facial spasm and psychosocial disorders.2.the two groups of treatment in the improvement of facial nerve physical disability in the same effect.3.Hanging needle combined with ear moxibustion is superior to conventional acupuncture in improving the symptoms of facial spasm and social and psychological disorders.4.Both groups had better safety and compliance.5.The combined therapy of hanging needle and ear moxibustion has the characteristics of convenient operation, safety and effectiveness, and has better clinical application value. |
