Research Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between chronic cough and TCM constitution type by analyzing the collected data:1.Analyzing the distribution characteristics of TCM constitution types, and exploring whether they have physical susceptibility;2.To investigate the differences in general information, quality of life of cough,TCM syndrome type, and Fe NO among patients with chronic cough of different TCM constitutions.Research Methods: This study was a cross-sectional investigation.A total of 206 patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected as the research objects, and they were instructed to complete the general situation questionnaire, the LCQ,and the TCM Body Quality Form Determine the type of TCM syndrome, and collectting the Fe NO indicators.Researchers used Excel software for data entry, and data collation and statistical analysis with SPSS 23.0.Results: 1.A total of 206 effective cases of chronic cough patients were collected in this study,84 males and 122 females;the average age was 36.40 ± 10.29 years;the average BMI was 21.35 ± 3.02;68 smokers, accounting for 33.0%;Fe NO 55.8% of patients with normal indicators.2.In the Leicester Cough Questionnaire, the average score in the physical field was 4.00 ± 1.07;the average score in the psychological field was 3.98 ± 1.06;the average score in the social field was 3.99 ± 1.08;the average total score was 11.96 ± 3.16.3.The distribution of TCM syndromes is as follows: the first three occurrences are Feng Xie Fu Fei,Tan Shi Yu Fei,and Fei Yin Kui Xu.68 cases of Feng Xie Fu Fei,43 cases of Tan Shi Yu Fei,and 34 cases of Fei Yin Kui Xu.4.In the physical distribution, there were 29 cases of normal constitution(14.1%)and 177 cases of bias constitution(85.9%).Among the biased constitutions, the constitution ratios of Qi deficiency,Yin deficiency and Yang deficiency were the highest, which were 47 cases of Qi deficiency,35 cases of Yin deficiency, and 32 cases of Yang deficiency.5.There were differences in the age,BMI,Fe NO,quality of life of cough, and distribution of TCM syndromes among the 206 Chinese medicine patients with chronic cough. There was no significant difference in the distribution of gender and smoking status. Conclusion: 1.Patients with chronic cough have physical susceptibility. The main type of biased constitution is asthenia constitution,of which Qi deficiency is the largest, followed by Yin deficiency and Yang deficiency, and phlegm constitution is also the susceptible constitution of the disease.2.There were differences in age,BMI,Fe NO index,TCM syndrome type, and quality of life of cough among different body types in patients with chronic cough.
