Objective: to observe the short-term quality of life of patients with moderate and severe deafness caused by sudden deafness and the effects of hearing aid intervention and psychological counseling on patients.Methods:All the sudden deafness patients with single deafness were selected as moderate and severe deafness.during hospitalization,All patients were routinely diagnosed and treated according to the diagnosis and treatment guidelines made by the Otorhinolaryngology,head and neck surgery Branch of Chinese Medical Association in 2015,and their hearing was re-tested.According to the degree of hearing impairment,the patients were randomly divided into two groups: group A and group B.Group B received hearing aid intervention about 3 months after discharge,and SF-36 quality of life questionnaire survey was conducted in both groups 3 months later.The patients in both groups were given psychological counseling according to their personal conditions.one week after the completion of psychological counseling,the quality of life questionnaire was retested to compare the clinical effects of hearing aids or psychological counseling intervention on moderate and severe deafness caused by sudden deafness.Results:After hearing aid intervention,the scores of SF-36 quality of life questionnaire between the two groups showed that the scores of quality of life in all dimensions in group B were higher than those in group A,and there were significant differences in physical pain,energy,social function and mental health.After psychological counseling,the scores of SF-36 quality of life questionnaire in group A showed that the average scores of 8 dimensions were higher than those before,and there were significant differences in social function and mental health between the two dimensions of quality of life(P<0.05).After psychological intervention,the average scores of 8 dimensions in group B were higher than those before,and there were significant differences in the scores of quality of life in energy,social function,emotional function and mental health(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both hearing aid intervention and psychological counseling can improve the quality of life of patients with moderate and severe deafness caused by sudden deafness,and the effect of the combination of the two is more significant.It can improve the patients in many aspects of function and psychology,and improve the short-term quality of life of moderate and severe deafness caused by sudden deafness.
