Clinical Study On Treatment Of Uterine Fibroids By Adding And Subtracting Cassia Tuckaing Pills

ObjectiveBased on the tutor's thought of treating hysteromyoma from the theory of “Yang transforming Qi,while Yin constituting the body” in the Internal Canon of Medicine,63 patients with hysteromyoma were collected from the outpatient department of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Combining theories with clinical practice,that the treatment of hysteromyoma based on the argument that “Yang deficiency with Yin exuberance is the root cause of uterine fibroids” was more in line with the clinical practice was discussed,aiming to provide theories for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)clinical treatment of hysteromyoma and a new way for its clinical treatment.Methods63 patients with hysteromyoma diagnosed in the outpatient department from December 2018 to January 2020 were finally included according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Using a self-control study,all the patients were treated with modified Guizhi Fuling pills for 3 months(a course of treatment).The changes in symptom score,uterine size and myoma size were collected and observed before and after treatment.Statistical analysis was conducted with SPSS 22.0.Using the single-group target value method,the study was based on the theory that “Yang deficiency with Yin exuberance is the root cause of uterine fibroids”.The efficacy and safety of modified Guizhi Fuling pills in the treatment of hysteromyoma were evaluated comprehensively.Results:1.Evaluation of clinical efficacy: Comparison in multiple indexes showed that the total effective rate of the 60 patients with hysteromyoma treated with modified Guizhi Fuling pills was 75.00% after treatment,and the efficacy was obvious.2.Evaluation of TCM syndromes: After treatment,the symptoms of the patients including menorrhagia,prolonged menstruation,dark menstruation,blood clots during menstruation,and abdominal pain were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,prolonged menstruation was improved in 91.67% patients,menorrhagia in 41.18%,blood clots during menstruation in 75.00%,and dark menstruation in 45%,and abdominal pain in 55.56%.After treatment,the total effective rate of TCM symptoms was 70.00%.The total score of TCM syndromes presented a statistically significant difference before and after treatment(P < 0.05).3.Evaluation of uterine and myoma size: After treatment,the number of patients with decreased uterine volume was 30,unchanged volume was 24 and increased volume was 6.The number of patients with decreased myoma size was 45,unchanged size was 4 and increased size was 11.Uterine volume and myoma size after treatment were significantly smaller than those before treatment(P < 0.05).4.Drug safety evaluation: Before and after the clinical treatment,the patients present no gastrointestinal reaction,allergic reaction or other toxic and side effects,stable vital signs.Therefore,this clinical treatment was safe and reliable.Conclusion:The mechanism and efficacy of modified Guizhi Fuling pills in the treatment of hysteromyoma are analyzed,revealing that it can not only significantly improve the menstrual condition and accompanied symptoms of patients with hysteromyoma,but also reduce or control myoma size,avoid the pain of surgical treatment and postoperative recurrence and curative effect is obvious.During the treatment,all the patients present no adverse drug reactions or toxic and side effects.Therefore,Guizhi Fuling pills are safe and effective in the treatment of this disease.
