Experimental Study On The Effect Of Chaizhixiaji Decoction On Gastrointestinal Motility And Related Hormones In Bile Reflux Gastritis

Objective:In this study,experimental bile reflux gastritis(BRG)rat model was constructed to investigate the effect of Chaizhixiaji Decoction on gastrointestinal motivity and related gastrointestinal hormone expression in BRG rats,so as to further clarify the mechanism of Chaizhixiaji Decoction's treatment of BRG and provide objective theoretical basis for its clinical use.Methods: Five groups were randomly set up according to the weight of Wistar rats:blank group,model group,Chaizhixiaji Decoction of low and high dose groups,and western medicine group(Hydrotalcite Tablets and Mosapride Citrate Tablets).The experimental bile reflux gastritis rats were induced by given self-made reflux liquid orally except rats in blank group.The general state and body weight of rats in blank group and model group were observed.The changes of gastric antrum mucosa were observed by naked eye.The gastric motility and the small intestine propulsion rate were measured and compared with each group.ELISA method was used for detection of MTL,VIP and SS content.Result: Compared with blank group,rats in model group show thin stool containing red yellow mucus,slow reaction,and body weight decreased significantly(P<0.05).There were patchy erosions of the gastric antrum with yellow green bile and more yellow mucus of model group in the naked eye.Gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion of model group were slowed down significantly(P<0.01).The content of MTL in serum and plasma of model group decreased significantly(P<0.01)and the content of VIP and SS significantly increased(P<0.01).Compared with model group,Chaizhixiaji Decoction of high dose group significantly increased the content of MTL in serum and plasma of BRG rats(P<0.01).And the content of SS in plasma and serum were decreased under the influence of Chaizhixiaji Decoction of high dose group,as well as the content of VIP(P<0.01).Moreover,the rate of gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion were increased significantly(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Compared with the low-dose group,Chaizhixiaji Decoction of high-dose group and the western medicine group could increase the MTL content and gastric emptation rate of BRG rats(P<0.05),and also reduce the VIP content(P<0.05).Compared with the western medicine group,the effectof Chaizhixiaji Decoction of high dose group on the regulation of MTL and SS content in plasma was more obvious(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chaizhixiaji Decoction has obvious effect on promoting gastrointestinal dynamics,and its mechanism may be related with the regulation of MTL,VIP and SS contents.
