Development,Application And Evaluation Of Clinical Medical Consumables Management Information System

Objective: With the development of science and technology and the innovation of medical means,the types,specifications and usage of medical consumables are also increasing.The consumption of medical consumables in the medical process is second only to that of drugs,which not only accounts for a high proportion of hospital expenditure,but also the main consumption expenditure of patients in the medical process.Under the circumstances of the new round of medical reform,it is imperative to use modern technical means and management mode to carry out refined management of medical consumables.This study analyzes the current situation of the management process of medical consumables in the hospital,and participates in the design of the improved secondary database information system of medical consumables.Starting from each link of the management of medical consumables,it analyzes the improvement of the new system on the management of consumables.And it evaluates the medical effects of the secondary library consumables management information system in a public top three hospital-B hospital for one year,and analyzes the forecasting effect of the system on the consumables procurement and request planning.Through the detailed discussion of the above process,this paper presents a research route and method for the development,application and evaluation of the secondary database information system of clinical medical consumables(hereinafter referred to as the system).Methods: 1.Literature research: using CNKI,CJFD,web of Science,Google,Baidu and other search engines have systematically investigated the relevant literature on business process optimization,hospital clinical medical consumables management,medical consumables management information system development and evaluation at home and abroad,summarized the achievements of previous studies,extracted relevant concepts and theories as the basis of this study.2.Management process analysis method: analyze the original management process of the hospital before designing the secondary database information system of clinical medical consumables,summarize the existing problems,and on this basis,establish a new system consumables management flow chart to clarify the application and advantages of the improved process.3.Data analysis method:(1)In this study,medical engineering engineers of B hospital were asked to help transfer from HIS system the total cost data and total pricing amount data of consumables of each department from October 2017 to September 2018 before the system went online,as well as extract and summarize the pricing data of pediatrics;(2)the total cost of consumables and the total pricing amount of consumables in each department from October 2018 to September 2019 after the system went online were transferred from the second-level warehouse system,the number of inpatients before and after the system went online was collected from the information department,and the data of pediatric medical low-value consumption from October 2018 to September 2019 were added up;(3)Vacuum vessel collection and prefilled catheter irrigators were selected respectively as research objects from the first-level medical and engineering library and the second-level pediatric library,and monthly consumption and monthly consumption of the two consumables were extracted from October 2018 to September 2019.The original data were sorted and classified,and data entry was performed by Execl software,SPSS19.0 was used to make statistical analysis of the relevant data before and after the launch of the medical consumables secondary database information system.Results: 1.Problems in the original management process of medical consumables in hospital B:(1)The consumables requisition plan mainly depends on the experience of the head nurse,and the requisition time and frequency are not fixed,which is easy to lead to the overstock of consumables caused by multiple requisitions;(2)the information level of consumables management is low,and the information transmission is not timely;(3)the information recording and storage of consumables mainly adopts offline manual method,which is easy to cause information loss and omission;(4)The intelligent level of consumables purchase order formulation is low,and the contact way between the hospital and the supplier is single;(5)there are many kinds of consumables,and the names and items are not unified,which is easy to cause the confusion of consumables;(6)the registration of consumables in and out of the warehouse and the expense accounting rely on offline manual registration,and the information recording and query are not convenient,so the head nurse can not query the use of consumables in real time;(7)It is difficult to trace the use of consumables.2.Measures to optimize the process of the information system of the secondary database of hospital B:(1)The consumables requisition plan of each department shall be formulated according to the current clinical use,which shall be demonstrated by the consumables management group of the department and submitted to the medical engineering department within the specified time;(2)all information transfer involved in the consumables management process shall be conducted in the computer system to ensure the timeliness of information transfer;(3)The recording and storage of consumables management information should adopt the online system and offline manual combination to avoid the loss of information;(4)the order generation of consumables is realized by computer intelligence,which saves time and cost;the hospital communicates with the supplier through multiple channels to ensure the timely procurement of consumables;(5)the consumables are entered into the hospital with the same name and code to avoid the confusion of consumables;(6)Consumables in and out of the warehouse are registered online and offline at the same time.Consumables use and write off are carried out simultaneously.Consumables use and inventory can be queried in the system in real time;(7)consumables are associated with patients in his system once they are used to realize the traceability of consumables.3.Evaluation of the application effect of the secondary database information system in hospital B:(1)After analyzing the total cost and per capita cost of consumables in hospital B and all departments before and after the system went online,it was found that the use of the system effectively reduced the cost of consumables in the hospital,and the profitability of all departments in the hospital generally increased;(2)After analyzing the change of the overflow rate of the special consumables in the special departments of hospital B before and after the system was launched,it was found that the use of the system played a certain role in reducing the overflow rate,and the failure of the overflow rate of some consumables may be caused by the unskilled use of the staff in the initial stage of the system;(3)Arima method was used to analyze the monthly use of medical engineering and pediatrics representative consumables after the system was put into operation,and the data were predicted.The error between the predicted results and the actual situation was very small,which indicated that the system could provide reference for the hospital to make the purchase plan.Conclusion: 1.From the point of view of hospital staff,the use of the system can effectively improve the work efficiency and the information level of consumables management,while avoiding the loss caused by the drawbacks in the original management process,so the design and development of the system is very necessary and feasible;2.Based on the research of domestic and foreign consumable management theories,and the analysis of the original consumable management process,a new consumable management process adapted to information management is developed,and the advantages of each link are analyzed in detail.3.Statistical analysis was made on the change of consumables cost of the whole hospital and each department in the year before and after the launch of hospital B system and the change of overflow rate of special consumables of special departments.The results showed that the use of the system effectively reduced the consumables cost of hospital B;the analysis of the monthly use of special consumables in the year after the launch of the system could reasonably predict the future use of the system for the hospital Please provide reference for purchasing and receiving of consumables.
