Obj ective:To observe the effects of electroacupuncture and ordinary acupuncture on the neutrophilic/lymphocyte ratio(NLR),glucose(GLU)and glycosylated hemoglobin(GHB)of non-proliferative stage diabetic retinopathy(NPDR),to optimize the treatment of diabetic retinopathy(DR),and to explore the possible mechanism of action.Method:The subjects were patients from the ophthalmic outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.48 patients(80 eyes)meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group(23 eyes)and the control group(25 eyes). The two groups selected the same treatment points,The control group was treated with ordinary acupuncture, and the treatment group added electroacupuncture treatment on the basis of the control group.Electrodes of the two groups were respectively connected to yiyu and Shenshu points, once a day, with continuous acupuncture for 6 days, rest for 1 day,and a course of treatment for 4 weeks. The changes of visual acuity, fundus,FFA,GLU,GHB and NLR in the two groups before and after treatment were observed, and the results of the two groups were statistically analyzed.Result:1.After treatment,GLU was improved in both groups, and the improvement in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P=0.036<0.05);2.After treatment,GHB was improved in both groups, and the improvement in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P=0.044<0.05);3.After treatment,NLR of both groups was improved, and the improvement of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P=0.402>0.05);4.After treatment, the visual acuity of both groups was improved, and the improvement of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P=0.124>0.05);5.Comparison of fundus and FFA results between the two groups after treatment showed no statistically significant difference(P=0.1 5 5>0.05);6.The total effective rate was 65.0%in the treatment group and 52.5%in the control group,respectively(P=0.226>0.05)Conclusion:Electroacupuncture has a good clinical effect in the treatment of non-proliferati ve diabetic retinopathy, which can effectively improve the vision of patients, improve fundus lesions, reduce fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin level in the body, and reduce the inflammatory response in patients, thus slowing down the development of diabetic retinopathy.
