Objective: To understand the current situation of information needs of patients with gastric cancer, explore the influencing factors of information needs of patients with gastric cancer, and provide references for future medical care, targeted information support and health education.Methods:1.By reviewing relevant literature at home and abroad, based on the collation of existing literature, combined with clinical practice, the patient's general situation data sheet, qualitative research interview outline, and quantitative research survey tools were developed.2.The purpose sampling method was used to select 11 patients with gastric cancer in Yan'an tertiary A hospital, and a semi-structured interview was conducted according to the outline of the interview. After the interview, two researchers applied Colaizzi's data analysis method. The data are analyzed, sorted and summarized. Before the interview, the group members were trained in the pre-interview qualitative research methods(self-training the researcher as a research tool),familiar with and mastered interview techniques, data analysis and other methods;explain the purpose and content of the research to the research subjects And sign the informed consent form.3.Use the objective sampling method to select the research objects that meet the inclusion criteria of Yan'an Grade 3 A and other hospitals.Use self-designed general demographic data and a self-assessment scale with good reliability and validity to investigate gastric cancer patients Information needs and analysis ofinfluencing factors.4.The collected and organized data is set up in Excel and imported into SPSS25.0statistical software for data analysis and processing. All tests were two-sided,and P <0.05 was considered statistically significant. The measurement data were described by mean ±standard deviation, and the count data were described by frequency and composition ratio.One-way analysis of variance, two independent samples t test, and multiple linearregression analysis were used to explore the factors affecting the information needs of patients with gastric cancer.Results:1.Through domestic and foreign literature reading and group discussions,a preliminary data sheet for gastric cancer patients,an outline of qualitative research interviews, and the use of a self-assessment scale for information needs were determined as a quantitative research survey tool.2.Through the collation, analysis, and induction of interview data, six themes were finally extracted: multidimensional psychosocial experience, information needs during diagnosis, information needs during surgery, information needs during chemotherapy, and home during rehabilitation.Diversified information needs for care and access to information needs.3.The total score of the information needs of patients with gastric cancer in this survey was(103.46 ± 15.95)points.The highest score was the disease and treatment dimension(2.76 ± 0.45),followed by the mental health dimension score(2.66 ± 0.45)points,social health needs(2.65 ± 0.62)points,physical health needs(2.53 ± 0.42)points,and family health needs(2.48 ± 0.49)points.After a one-way analysis of variance, the statistically significant factors were: age, education, monthly income, work status, family structure, and surgical method;multiple linear regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors of the information needs of gastric cancer patients were: age,Monthly income, surgical methods, education. In terms of the length of needs,58.4% of patients were satisfied or very satisfied in terms of disease and treatment needs, physical health needs, mental health needs, family healthneeds, and social health needs.Among them, the patients' psychological health needs were the least satisfied,38.3%.Of the patients' mental health needs were completely unsatisfied.20% of patients indicated that they were totally unsatisfied in terms of disease and treatment needs,21.7% of patients indicated that they were totally unsatisfied in terms of physical health needs, and 17.5% of patients who reported family health needs Totally unsatisfied, and 23.3% of the patients in terms of social health needs said they were totally unsatisfied. Conclusions:Patients with gastric cancer have a high degree of information needs, especially in terms of disease and treatment and mental health needs. The main factors affecting the information needs of patients with gastric cancer are age, surgical methods, and educational level. Therefore, when giving health education and information support,we should focus on the actual situation of patients to meet the needs of patients and improve the quality of life of patients.
