Objective: To evaluate the changes in masticatory function during masticatory function rehabilitation training(MFRT)for postoperative patients with oral tumor and to explore the effect of remote supervision and guidance(RSG)on rehabilitation training and masticatory function of postoperative patients with oral tumor. Methods: This study included patients with oral tumor admitted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Head and Neck Surgery,Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of China Medical University from April 2019 to July 2019.They were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group.Patients in the experimental group were given MFRT+RSG combined rehabilitation training Mode, supervised the postoperative rehabilitation training process and given professional guidance according to the patient’s rehabilitation condition.Patients in the control group was given MFRT only.At the starting of rehabilitation training, the first month, the third and the 6th month of rehabilitation training, the masticatory function of the two groups of patients was evaluated. The contents of the evaluation and measurement include a questionnaire of general and clinical data of patients,a chewing ability score test,a maximum bite force test,a maximum mouth opening test and the score of modified Sato’s questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 software. Results: The research compared the general data(including gender, age, nationality, marital status, education level)and clinical data(including the location of tumor, the way of restoration and reconstruction, pathological diagnosis, the number of functional teeth, the time of starting rehabilitation training, postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy)of the patients in the experimental group and the control group, there was no statistical significantly difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The results showed that at the third month and the sixth month of rehabilitation training, the masticatory ability score of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).In terms of maximum bite force, there was no statistical difference between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).The maximum mouth opening of the patients in the experimental group at the 6th month of rehabilitation training was greater than that in the control group(P<0.05).At the third month and the sixth month of rehabilitation training, the score of modified Sato’s questionnaire of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.The research shows that the masticatory function rehabilitation training combined with remote supervision and guidance can effectively improve the masticatory ability score, maximum mouth opening and daily eating status of patients with oral tumor.2.Compared with the traditional masticatory function rehabilitation training, further increase of remote supervision and guidance on the basis of masticatory function rehabilitation training can significantly ameliorate masticatory dysfunction and improve the masticatory ability of patients with oral tumor.
