The Clinical Significance And Expression Of IL-35 In Peripheral Blood Of Patients With Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective: Evaluate the expression of interleukin-35 in the serum of patients with ankylosing spondylitis and healthy populations,and the correlation between IL-35 levels and disease activity,peripheral joint stress,eye retiredness and HLA-B27,and to explore the relationship between IL-35 and clinical indicators of patients with ankylosing spondylitis,Provide a scientific basis for the treatment of AS.Methods: Collect 98 patients with AS and 38 cases of healthy people as the experimental group and the control group,and laboratory index such as CRP,ESR,immunoglobulin,HLA-B27,imaging changes(peripheral joint severation)and clinical characteristics(including eye lesions)were collected at the same time.Using the1984 modification of the New York criteria for ankylosing spondylitis to select the patients and using AS disease activity score rating system BASDAI,and then adopt the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to measure the serum level of IL-35 of patients and healthy individuals.Results: 1.The level of IL-35 in patients with AS was significantly higher than healthy controls,the difference was significant(AS:1.823±0.0885pg/ml,HC:0.9438±0.0877pg/ml,P<0.0001),and it were positively correlated with ESR,CRP,BASDAI,Ig A,Ig M(r values were 0.7703,0.8249,0.8483,0.2259,0.3024,and the P values were 0.0001,0.0001,0.0001,0.0253,0.0025),and The level of IL-35 in patients with AS was not correlated with Ig G(r=-0.001775,P=0.9862);2.In AS patients,the level of IL-35 expression was related to the affected of peripheral joints and HLA-B27 expression.There is a clear difference of IL-35 level between the peripheral joint affected group and the peripheral joint untired group,and the difference is statistically significant(peripheral joint affected group:2.224±0.1347 pg/ml,peripheral joint untired group:1.598±0.0713 pg/ml,P<0.0001);At the sane time,there was a significant difference of IL-35 level between the HLA-B27 positive group and the HLA-B27 negative group,and the difference is statistically significant(HLA-B27 positive group:1.921±0.0944pg/ml,HLA-B27 negative group:1.420±0.2120 pg/ml,P=0.0240).But the level of IL-35 expression was not corrected with the affected of eyes(eyes affected group:1.974 ±0.1335 pg/ml,eyes untired group:1.749±0.1006 pg/ml,P=0.2537).Conclusion:1.The level of IL-35 in serum in AS patients was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group,and was correlated with disease activity;2.The expression level of IL-35 in serum of AS patients was significantly increased in the peripheral joint affected group and HLA-B27 positive group.
