1.ObjectiveAccording to the protection motivation theory and follow the standard questionnaire preparation process, developing a Protection Motivation Questionnaire for populations at high risk of stroke(PMQ-SHR)and explore its reliability and validity.Provides a quantitative tool for clinical medical staff to assess the motivation for high-risk populations.2.MethodsIn the first stage, based on the protection motivation theory,we constructed a 7dimensions and 73 items through literature review. In the second stage, the questionnaire entries were screened, modified, and optimized through 17 panel consultations,17 expert consultations, and 30 patient pre-surveys to determine the motivation assessment questionnaire for populations at high risk of stroke. In the third stage, the questionnaire was used to test 304 patients at high risk of stroke in Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, and 31 patients were selected to be re-examined after 2 weeks. The obtained data were analyzed by critical ratio, correlation analysis, internal consistency, exploratory factor analysis, and reliability and validity analysis to determine the formal version of the questionnaire for motivation assessment of populations at high risk of stroke. In the fourth stage,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 255 patients using a formal version of the questionnaire for motivation assessment of populations at high risk of stroke.Confirmatory factor analysis was used to explore the stability of the questionnaire results. The reliability of our measurement was also further established through internal consisitency.3.ResultsAfter preliminary screening by the research group,61 items were left in the final entry pool of the motivation assessment questionnaire for populations at high risk of stroke. After two rounds of expert consultation,13 items were deleted,6 items were added,5 items were modified, and 54 were finally left. The initial questionnaire for each item was pre-experimented,and the revised questionnaire for the evaluation of motivation for populations at high risk of stroke was formed. In the analysis of the items tested by the formal questionnaire, delete the internal and external reward dimension entries that do not meet the inclusion criteria 5 "Maintaining a certain pressure can make my life and work more motivated"(CR =-2.522),Pearson correlation coefficient(r =-0.121)that did not meet the inclusion principle were deleted, and the ? value after the item was deleted(0.899 > 0.894),If they do not meet the criteria, they will be deleted. In the exploratory factor analysis,a total of 11 entries were deleted, and the last 6 dimensions explained 64.162%,47.559%,53.396%,63.531%,50.235%,and 49.636% of the variance; The average content validity index(S-CVI)of the level is 0.963,the item level content validity index(I-CVI)is 0.857-1;the total Cronbach'? coefficient of the questionnaire is 0.872;the Cronbach'?coefficient of each dimension is 0.779-0.874;The retest reliability of the total questionnaire is 0.810,the retest reliability of each dimension is 0.718-0.885,the total half-reliability of the questionnaire is 0.909,and the half-reliability of each dimension is0.657-0.846.In confirmatory factor analysis, the fit index of the model is chi-square value =0.000,chi-square degree of freedom ratio = 2.427,RMR = 0.068,RMSEA = 0.666,GFI= 0.903,NFI = 0.915,RFI 0.898,IFI = 0.910,TLI = 0.897,CFI = 0.908,PGFI = 0.773,PNFI = 0.775,PCFI = 0.763,and the standardized path coefficient is between 0.417 and0.825.The questionnaire uses a self-assessment questionnaire with a likert 5-point score. The response items are strongly disagree, disagree, general, agree, and strongly agree, corresponding to 0-5 points. The items of each dimension are added to obtain the dimensional score, and the scores of all the items are added to obtain the corresponding total score. The higher the score, the higher the level of protection motivation of the high-risk stroke population.4.ConclusionThe method of constructing a protective motivation assessment questionnaire for populations at high risk of stroke is rigorous and scientific. The questionnaire actually reflects the theme of protective motivation forpopulations at high risk of stroke. The protection motivation questionnaire for populations at high risk of stroke has a stable structure and good reliability and validity. The internal consistency reliability,test-retest reliability,half-reliability,content validity, and structural validity test of the questionnaire all meet the criteria. To assess the level of protection motivation in populations at high risk of stroke.
