Objective: To investigate the occurrence of frailty in elderly inpatients and its influencing factors.Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on hospitalized patients aged ?60 years in the first hospital of lanzhou university from 2017 to 2020.These patients were comprehensive evaluated for frailty(Frail scale),nutritional status(MNA scale),fall(Morse fall scale),pressure sores(Braden pressure sore score),activity of daily life(Barthel index)and so on.We had collected the gender, age, marital status, occupation, medical insurance type and other general statistical data of the patients,as well as the laboratory test indicators such as white blood cells(WBC),red blood cells(RBC),hemoglobin(HB),platelets(PLT),total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and creatinine(Cr).Results: A total of 219 elderly hospitalized patients were included, with an average age of(74.57±8.45)years.The constituent ratio of non-frailty,prefrailty and frailty was 24.7%,45.2% and 30.1%,respectively.The prevalence of frailty in males and females was 29.7% and 30.7%,respectively,with no significant difference(P > 0.05).Through single factor analysis,it was found that age, heart failure, respiratory diseases, comorbidity, fall, nutritional status,ALB and HDL-C were correlated with the occurrence of frailty(P < 0.05).The multivariate Logistic regression analysis found that the elderly with poor nutritional status(OR=0.355,95%CI: 0.257-0.491)and more comorbidity(OR=3.082,95%CI: 1.900-4.999)were more likely to develop frailty.People aged 60-69 years(OR=0.062,95%CI: 0.008-0.460)had a lower risk of developing frailty than those aged over 80 years. After the influence of confounding factors was excluded,we found that only age, nutritional status, comorbidity were related to frailty independently. Conclusion: The oldest-old,malnutrition and comorbidity were independently associated with the occurrence of frailty in elderly patients.
