Objective:To clarify the pain belief,self-efficacy and coping strategies of patients with lumbar disc herniation;to explore the impact of general social demographic data, pain beliefs and pain self-efficacy on strategies;to clarify pain beliefs,self-efficacy and coping strategies of patients with lumbar disc herniation Correlation between strategies;exploring the mediating effect of self-efficacy in patients with lumbar disc herniation between pain beliefs and coping strategies, providing theoretical guidance for medical workers to develop individualized pain care intervention strategies, and providing references for optimizing patients' quality of life. Methods:This study is a cross-sectional study, taking the orthopedic inpatient department of two top three hospitals in Xi'an as the research site, using the purpose of sampling to select 320 patients diagnosed with lumbar disc herniation. The self-designed general information questionnaire and pain were used.Patients were surveyed with the Belief and Perception Scale(PBPI),the Pain Self-Efficacy Questionnaire(PSEQ),and the Modified Coping Strategy Questionnaire(CSQ-R).Epidata 3.1 was used to establish the database and SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 software were used for statistical analysis.Statistical methods include statistical description, single factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and structural equation model analysis.Result:(1)Status of pain beliefs: The total score of pain beliefs for lumbar disc herniation is(5.33±6.39)points,of which the pain is considered to be the most mysterious dimension with the highest score(3.44±2.43),and the persistent pain dimension is considered to have the lowest score(-0.81±2.48)points;(2)Status of pain self-efficacy: The pain self-efficacy level of patients with lumbar disc herniation is at a low level, with a score of(25.71±11.85)points;(3)Status of coping strategies: patients with lumbar disc herniation have more aggressive coping strategies. The total coping strategies score is(52.43±14.77),of which the scores for each dimension are doom(12.78±5.63),and distraction(11.98±6.13)Points,brave(11.29±6.47)points,ignore pain(7.14±5.27)points,pray(4.73±3.11)points,escape pain(4.47±5.03)points.(4)The results of univariate analysis of variance for coping strategies of patients with lumbar disc herniation showed that there were statistical differences in the scores of coping strategies of patients in terms of age, education level, family monthly income, history of lumbar surgery, duration of pain, and degree of pain.Significance(P<0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that patients with lumbar disc herniation entered the regression model in terms of total self-efficacy score, monthly family income, age, education level, history of surgical treatment, and pain belief.(5)Correlation between pain beliefs,self-efficacy and coping strategies: the total score of coping strategies and the total score of pain beliefs, pain is mysterious,it is believed that persistent pain, and the pain cannot be relieved, and it is negatively correlated(P<0.01),and it is responsible Feelings were positively correlated(P<0.01);total pain belief scores were negatively correlated with distraction, avoiding pain, ignoring pain, and bravely facing dimensions(P<0.01 or <0.05),and positively correlated with doom and prayer dimensions(P<0.01);The total score of coping strategies is positively related to the total score of self-efficacy and social function, pain function, housework and work dimensions(P<0.01);The total score of self-efficacy was positively correlated with distraction, pain avoidance, pain neglect, and courage to face dimensions(P<0.01),negatively correlated with doom(P<0.01),and not related to prayer dimensions.(6)The analysis of the mediating effect shows that the impact of pain beliefs on coping strategies in patients with lumbar disc herniation is through the mediating effect of self-efficacy,which accounts for 29.68% of the total effect.Conclusion:(1)Patients with lumbar disc herniation have a positive attitude toward pain coping strategies. Most patients have negative pain beliefs and their self-efficacy is at a low level.(2)The monthly income, age, education level, history of surgery,self-efficacy,and pain beliefs of patients with lumbar disc herniation are the main influential factors influencing pain coping strategies.(3)Pain belief,self-efficacy,and coping strategies of patients with lumbar disc herniation are related, that is,the higher the pain belief score, the higher the frequency of adopting negative coping strategies;the higher the self-efficacy,the higher the frequency of adopting positive coping strategies.(4)Pain beliefs of patients with lumbar disc herniation affect coping strategies through the intermediary effect of self-efficacy,which indicates that medical staff can reduce patients' negative pain beliefs and improve patient self-education in health education for patients with lumbar disc herniation and pain management.A sense of efficacy, which indirectly improves the patient's active coping strategies.
