Objective:Analysis of standardized training effects of resident physicians("resident training"for abbreviation)in Shanghai secondary general hospitals,disclose problems and provide references to improve for current modes of resident training.Methods:Through literature study of resident training at home and abroad,in combine with character of secondary general hospitals,we self-design questionnaire.By using cluster sampling methods,we target those resident physicians in four Shanghai secondary general hospitals which participated standardized trainings in 2016-2018,and survey with questionnaire including general situation,whole cognition,rotation evaluation and clinical training competence.Meanwhile,we provide qualitative interviews in different scenarios,and statistically analyze both questionnaire and interviews so as to get a good understanding of the implications of standardized training in Shanghai secondary general hospitals.Results:1)It counts for 94.34%of the total population that resident physicians have a rough knowledge or have basic understandings on the policies before the training;60.57%of them acknowledge the necessity of the resident training;Resident physicians get low paid during the training(86.79%);64.15%of them find difficulty to proceed their on their marriage and birth plans;The main source of pressure is the difficulty to get used to high-pressure environment in hospital(20.75%);The most urgent suggestion from resident physicians is to increase treatment(83.02%);There are statistical significance(P<0.05)include "increasing spending from the government"(73.58%),"shortening the training period"(49.06%),the demographic factor from the students and the suggestions of the training.2)Resident physicians normally acknowledge on the forms and contents of public subject exams,checking exam,annual exams and graduation exams;the proportion accounts for 60.37%,75.47%,83.02%and 84.9%respectively;Most resident physicians think checking exams,annual exams,and graduation exams can reflect the quality of training,which accounts for 66.04%,73.58%and 79.24%respectively,while there are also 67.92%of them show that public subject exams cannot reflect the real results from the trainings.3)60.37%of the resident physicians acknowledge that departments pay high attention on the work of resident training.During the training period,teachers ward,study cases and tutor themselves more than once per month,which accounts for 94.34%,88.68%and 94.34%respectively.On the other hand,22.64%of the sample departments proceed clinic operation once for several weeks.Furthermore,41.5%of sample physicians only have three to four chances per year to operate the equipment in clinic training centers.4)63.6%of the resident physicians think their clinic skills has been improved during the resident trainings.But only 35.85%and 26.42%of them think there are improvements on foreign language applications and scientific research ability.All the above findings have statistically significance on the evaluation of the trainings from demographic perspective.5)The interviews show that teaching ability in secondary hospitals is relatively weak,which leads to dissatisfaction on both teaching and training.Conclusion:1)Resident physicians know less about training systems.They normally acknowledge the necessary of resident training since training system influence their future career choice.Moreover,they experience different pressure during the training.2)Resident physicians disidentify the contents on public project exams,they suggest to improve the system of assessments3)Most teachers can frequently tutor by themselves,but some details and teaching qualities should be improved.Also,the accessibility of clinic center is relatively low.4)Resident physicians think they get significant improvements on clinic field,but less on foreign language and scientific research.5)There are weak team-building and encouragement in secondary hospital which need to be improved.
