| ObjectiveTo analyze and evaluate the effect of uterine artery embolization on ovarian function in patients with cesarean scar pregnancy and to assess the safety of uterine artery embolization.MethodsThe databases of PubMed,Conchrane Library,Embase,CNKI,Chinese biomedical literature database and Wanfang database were searched by computer from January 2000 to December 31,2019.Consulting the reference index obtained at the same time.All articles were screened according to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,and the newcastle-ottawa scale(NOS)was used to evaluate the quality of the included literature.The data of FSH,LH and E2 were extracted from the qualified articles,and the Review Manager 5.3 software was applied for Meta-analysis.ResultsThis review included 6 case-control studies(n=388),including 188 in the UAE group and 200 in the control group(MTX group).Meta-analysis showed that preoperative FSH level[mean difference(MD)=0.02,95%confidence interval(CI):-0.40?0.36;P=0.92],preoperative LH level(MD=-0.06,95%CI:-0.58?0.47,P=0.84),preoperative E2 level(MD=-0.04,95%CI:-0.93?0.84,P=0.92)showed no significant difference statistically(P>0.05)between the UAE group(experimental group)and control group,and there was no significant difference statistically between the two groups in postoperative FSH level(MD=-0.04,95%CI:-0.32?0.23,P=0.75),postoperative LH level(MD=-0.06,95%CI:-0.37?0.26,P=0.73),and postoperative E2 level(MD=0.26,95%CI:-0.60?1.11,P=0.56)(P>0.05).ConclusionAccording to the changes of basic endocrine hormones(FSH?LH?E2),there was no significant differdence in the effects on ovarian function between uterine artery embolization and drug treatment.Uterine artery embolization for CSP has no apparent effect on ovarian function in the short term. |
