ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to investigate the status of positive psychological capital,coping style and health behaviors in young and middle-aged stroke patients,analyze the correlation between the three variables,and further explore the influencing factors of patients' health behaviors.On the one hand,it provides theoretical basis for improving the positive psychological capital of young and middle-aged stroke patients and prompting them to adopt positive coping methods.On the other hand,it provides an empirical basis for medical staff to formulate intervention measures to promote the health behavior practice of young and middle-aged stroke patients.MethodsIn this study,the convenience sampling method was adopted to select young and middle-aged stroke patients who met the inclusion criteria in the department of neurology of a grade A general hospital in zhengzhou from December 2018 to September 2019,and the patients were investigated by means of general information questionnaire,Positive Psychological Questionnaire(PPQ),Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ)and Health Behavior Scale for Stroke Patients(HBS-SP).In this survey,a total of 260 questionnaires were issued and 236 effective questionnaires were recovered,with the effective recovery rate of 90.7%.Epidata3.1 software was used for data entry,and SPSS22.0 software was applied for statistical analysis.The measurement data were described by mean ± standard deviation.Counting data was expressed by frequency and percentage;T test or anova were used to compare the scores of positive psychological capital and health behavior between groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to show the correlation between psychological capital,coping style and healthy behaviorin young and middle-aged stroke patients,and multiple linear regression analysis was performed to explore the influencing factors of health behavior.Results(1)The score of positive psychological capital of young and middle-aged stroke patients was(115.79±18.29),which was in the middle level.The scores of each dimension were standardized.After standardization,the average scores of the four dimensions from high to low were optimism(30.25±4.25),self-efficacy(31.69±6.13),hope(27.45±5.67),resiliency(26.41±5.89).(2)The total scores of coping styles of young and middle-aged stroke patients were(43.47±4.43),including face coping(18.14±4.90),avoidance coping(16.65±2.46)and yield coping(8.68±2.89).(3)The total score of health behaviors of young and middle-aged stroke patients was(66.82±7.29),which was above the average level.From high to low,the scores of each dimension were:medication compliance(3.55±0.36),intake of alcohol and tobacco(3.48±0.59),nutrition(2.81±0.35),instruction(2.65±0.46),sport(2.04±0.51),health responsibility(1.97±0.55).(4)There were significant differences in scores of positive psychological capital among young and middle-aged stroke patients with different age,education level,family per capita monthly income,time since stroke and types of chronic diseases(p < 0.05);The health behavior scores of young and middle-aged stroke patients with different gender,age,educational level,Body Mass Index(BMI),family per capita monthly income,medical payments types and disease course showed significant differences(p < 0.05).(5)There was a positive correlation between positive psychological capital and health behaviors in young and middle-aged stroke patients(r = 0.522,p < 0.01);Coping styles were positively correlated with health behaviors(r = 0.546,p < 0.01),while avoidance copingstyles and yield coping styles were negatively correlated with health behaviors(r =-0.163,p< 0.05;R =-0.361,p < 0.01);There was a positive correlation between positive psychological capital and coping styles(r = 0.699,p < 0.01),and a negative correlation between positive psychological capital and coping styles(r =-0.486,p < 0.01;R =-0.645,p < 0.01).(6)Age,education level,self-efficacy,hope,coping with face and coping with yield were predictors of health behaviors,which together accounted for 52.3% of the total variation of health behaviors.Conclusions(1)The positive psychological capital of young and middle-aged stroke patients is at a medium level,and age,educational level,family per capita monthly income,time since stroke and type of chronic diseases are the influencing factors of positive psychological capital;Young and middle-aged stroke patients tend to adopt the avoidance coping mode.(2)The health behavior of middle-aged and young stroke patients is at the above average level,gender,age,education level,body mass index,family per capita monthly income,type of medical insurance,and disease course are the influencing factors of healthy behaviors.(3)The health behavior of young and middle-aged stroke patients is positively correlated with the level of positive psychological capital.The higher the positive psychological capital is,the higher the level of health behavior is;Positive coping style can promote the practice of health behaviors in young and middle-aged stroke patients;The higher the level of positive psychological capital,the more inclined patients are to adopt the coping mode of face.
