Objective(s):The purpose of this study was to collect the patients who underwent vocal cord polyps forceps resection under support laryngoscope and fibrolaryngoscope respectively, and to evaluate the subjective and objective voice performance at different preoperative and postoperative periods,so as to explore the postoperative efficacy of patients with vocal cord polyps and whether there are differences in postoperative recovery of the two surgical methods. Objective acoustic parameters of voice of two different surgical methods were compared by VHI scale and acoustic detection of computer noise to investigate the outcome of vocal cord polyps.Methods:Forty-eight cases of patients with vocal cord polyps were selected for surgical treatment under supportive laryngoscope and fibrolaryngoscope, respectively, and the surgical efficacy was evaluated by VHI scale, acoustic analysis software ling WAVES,and fibrolaryngoscope before and after 1 month and 3 months. Results:There were significant differences in VHI score, fundamental frequency perturbation(Jitter),amplitude perturbation(Shimmer),and harmonic noise ratio(NHR)between the two groups at different postoperative periods(P<0.01),and no significant differences in fundamental frequency(F0)(P>0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in VHI score and NHR between the fiberlaryngoscope group and the fiberlaryngoscope group after surgery(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference between the basic frequency perturbation(Jitter)and amplitude perturbation(Shimmer)(P>0.05).After 1 month of laryngoscopy,5 patients in the support group had unsmooth edges of vocal cords, congestion of mucous membranes, and poor closure of vocal cords. After 3 months, the congestion of vocal cords was alleviated, but the edges were still bulged and poorly closed. In the fiber laryngoscope group,7 patients had bloody mucosa of vocal cords, with unsmooth edges and poor closure. After 3 months,2 patients had postoperative recurrence In the other 5 cases, there were still protuberances and poor closure.Conclusion(s):1.Both VHI scale and voice acoustic analysis can be used as effective methods for evaluating voice quality before and after vocal cord polyp surgery.2.The operation of vocal cord polyps under fibrolaryngoscope and supporting laryngoscope can significantly improve the voice quality of patients, among which the operation under supporting laryngoscope can better improve the voice quality.3.NHR is a more sensitive indicator than Jitter and Shimmer to evaluate the efficacy.
