| Objective:To investigate the influencing factors of serum human proline pepti dase(PLD)in patients with type 2 diabetes and carotid atherosclerosis.To explore t he correlation between serum human proline peptidase and body fat parameters and glycolipid metabolism,so as to provide a basis for studying the mechanism of ser um human proline peptidase in the formation of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods:A total of 56 hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes from 2016 to 2017 were selected to improve bilateral carotid artery Doppler ultrasound,the p atients were divided into T2DM+CAS group,n=28 and T2DM group(n=28).28 healthy subjects were selected as normal control(NC)group during the same peri od.Information of each patient was recorded,including gender,age,course of dia betes,height and weight were measured,body mass index(BMI)was calculated bas ed on height and weight,systolic and diastolic blood pressure were measured,and t otal cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),hsCRP,insulin(FINS)and glycated hemoglobi n(HbA1c),such as insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)was also recorded.Prolidas e(PLD)level was tested by an immunological technique named Enzyme-linked imm unosorbent assay(ELISA).Results:①Compared to T2DM and T2DM+CAS group(25.69±10.42),(19.30±5.8)u/L),P<0.05 or P<0.01),serum prolidase concentrations in NC group(36.73±33.64)u/L was higher.T2DM group showed significantly higher than in T2DM+CAS group(P<0.01).②Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum proli dase had no correlation with age,duration,BMI,SBP,DBP,TC,TG,HDL-C,LD L-C,hsC-RP,FPG,Flns,HOMA-IR and bA1c.③Logistic regression analysis show ed that as an independent risk factor of atherosclerosis,PLD may play a protective role..Conclusion:Serum prolidase concentrations in T2DM and T2DM+CAS group were significantly lower compared with those in control group.The results show tha t serum prolidase may be associated with the development of diabetes complication.Logistic regression analysis showed that as an independent risk factor of atheroscle rosis,PLD may play a protective role.Prolidase is likely to participate in the r ogression of type 2 diabetes macrovascular complication. |
