Objective: To analyse the characteristics of beat-to-beat blood pressure variability(BPV)in chronic insomnia patients with anxiety and depression. To explore the effect of chronic insomnia with anxiety and depression on beat-to-beat BPV and explore the clinical application of beat-to-beat BPV.Methods: Patients diagnosed as chronic insomnia were collected in the outpatient of Department of Neurology of the First Hospital of Jilin University from December 2017 to April 2019.At the same time, the healthy volunteers with matched gender and age were selected as the control group. And two groups were conducted questionnaire survey and various scales, including Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD).Systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)of all subjects were measured noninvasively by a servo-controlled plethysmograph for 5 minutes.SBP and DBP were extracted and processed, and time domain indexes of beat-to-beat BPV were calculated by MATLAB software.Lastly, all data were collected and analyzed statistically. Results: 1.Many indexes of beat-to-beat BPV in chronic insomnia patients were higher than control group significantly.2.Many indexes of beat-to-beat BPV in chronic insomnia with anxiety group were higher than those in patients with non-anxiety group significantly.3.There were significant differences in SBP-SD,DBP-SD,MAP-SD,DBP-VIM and MAP-VIM among anxiety and depression group, anxiety and non-depression group, depression and non-anxiety group, and non-depression and non-anxiety group in chronic insomnia patients.4.There was a positive correlation between HAMA scores,HAMD scores,self-reported sleep quality, insomnia degree and beat-to-beat BPV.Multiple linear regression model suggested that the beat-to-beat BPV was associated with the HAMA scores and gender of women. Conclusion: The beat-to-beat BPV of chronic insomnia patients(with or without hypertension)was higherthan healthy people. The beat-to-beat BPV of chronic insomnia patients was associated with the HAMA scores and gender of women.
