Objective:The coincidence rate, sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value and positive predictive value of automated breast volume scanner(ABVS)combined with conventional hand-held ultrasound and mammography in female breast cancer detection from suspicious breast lumps were analyzed and calculated so as to compare the diagnostic value of automated breast volume scanner(ABVS)combined with conventional hand-held ultrasound and mammography. Methods:The collection of 78 suspicious breast lesions in 60 patients from December 2018 to November 2019 in the affiliated hospital of Inner Mongolia University for the nationalities was done in accordance with predetermined research plan and design. The mean age of participants was 58.8 ± 6.73(range:40-75 years).Examinations with automated breast volume scanner(ABVS),conventional hand-held ultrasound and mammography for all patients of suspicious breast lumps were done respectively. All data were entered in excel so that a database was established.SPSS 21.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis of two imaging methods. With the help of this statistical analysis, the diagnostic value such as the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of two imaging methods from breast nodules were calculated on the basis of histopathology results“gold standard”correlation respectively. Finally, the coincidence rate, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of two diagnostic imaging methods after comparison were statistically significant if(P<0.05)in female breast cancer detection.Results:1.there were 78 female breast nodules from which histopathology results were obtained through core needle biopsy or post-operative sample.Of these 78 breast lesions,55(70.51%)were malignant:43(78.18%)invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC),8(14.54%)ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS),3(5.45%)cases of mucinous carcinoma, and 1(1.81%)case of medullary carcinoma. In addition,23(29.48%)benign lesions were identified:13(56.52%)fibroadenoma,7(30.43%)adenopathy,2(8.69%)intraductal Papilloma and 1(4.34%)plasma cell mastitis.2.In automated breast volume scanner(ABVS)combined with conventional hand-held ultrasound, there were 56 malignant breast nodules(52 cases of malignant from pathology result,4 cases of benign from pathology result)and 22 benign breast nodules(3 cases of malignant from pathology result,19 cases of benign from pathology result).3.In mammography, there were 48 malignant breast nodules(45 cases of malignant from pathology result,3 cases of benign from pathology result)and 30 benign breast nodules(10 cases of malignant from pathology result,20 cases of benign from pathology result).4.The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of automated breast volume scanner(ABVS)combined with conventional hand-held ultrasound were 94.5%,82.6%,92.9%and 86.4%respectively.Whereas the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of mammography were 81.8%,87.0%,93.8%and 66.7%respectively.Conclusion:1.the combination of ABVS and conventional hand-held ultrasound has a high diagnostic value. The" convergence sign"of coronal section(plan)plays an important role in the diagnosis of breast cancer.2.Automated breast volume scanner(ABVS)combined with conventional hand-held Ultrasound is slightly better than Mammography in this study, but Ultrasound examination is significantly superior to Mammography examination in terms of economy, convenience, comfort, and without radiation. It is suggested that automated breast volume scanner(ABVS)combined with conventional hand-held Ultrasound is further popularized and applied in the clinic. |
