Development And Application Of Transitional Care Questionnaire For Postoperative Patients With Breast Cancer

BackgroundBreast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women worldwide.In China,the incidence of breast cancer is increasing year by year,and the age of onset is becoming younger.With the development of medical and health services,the survival rate of breast cancer patients has significantly improved.Patients with breast cancer may experience pressure from various aspects such as disease,treatment,family,economy,etc.when undergoing the transition from cancer treatment to survival,which may easily lead to negative emotions and even mental illness,and reduce the quality of life of patients.Since 2008,domestic attention to continuation of nursing services has gradually increased,and the number of studies has also increased significantly.At present,the research on transitional care is mostly intervention-based,and there are few studies on transitional care needs,and there is no unified questionnaire for the investigation of continuing care needs of breast cancer patients.Therefore,this study aims at this special group of breast cancer patients.Design questionnaires,understand the needs of breast cancer patients for transitional care,analyze their related factors,provide a theoretical basis for medical staff to implement transitional care,improve patient treatment compliance and nursing satisfaction,and improve patients' quality of life.ObjectiveTo compile and apply the questionnaire of transitional care needs of patients after breast cancer surgery,investigate the needs of transitional care of breast cancer patients,aiming to provide reference for the development of transitional care work of breast cancer patients,and carry out targeted future nursing intervention provides a scientific theoretical basis.MethodsThe literature analysis method,group discussion method,qualitative research and other methods were used to preliminarily determine the entry pool of the questionnaire for transitional care needs of patients after breast cancer surgery.The Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of expert consultation,modify the questionnaire,and conduct reliability and validity tests.From September 2018 to October 2019,the convenience sampling method was used to select female post-operative breast cancer patients who were hospitalized in four third-level or higher hospitals in Henan Province and met the study inclusion criteria.Carry out questionnaire survey on nursing needs questionnaire and breast cancer patients quality of life measurement scale.All the survey data are entered into Excel after double-checking,and the database is established,using SPSS 22.0 software for data analysis.Statistical methods include statistical description,independent sample t test,oneway analysis of variance,Spearman correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results1.Forming a questionnaire for transitional care needs of patients undergoing breast cancer surgery.The questionnaire contains 4 dimensions: the general condition of the patient,the condition of the disease,the questions related to the implementation of transitional care,and the need for transitional care,a total of 24 items.2.Scientific evaluation of the questionnaire for transitional care needs of patients with breast cancer after surgery.The total content validity of the questionnaire prepared in this study was 0.878;the Cronbanch's ? coefficient of the questionnaire prepared in this study was 0.895.The questionnaire has good reliability and validity.3.Transitional care scores of patients after breast cancer surgery.The total score of transitional care needs of patients after breast cancer surgery was(82.22 � 7.07),and the standardized score was(71.50 � 6.15).The total score for content requirements is(53.51 � 4.09),the standardized score is(76.45 � 3.03);the total score for method requirements is(28.71 � 3.60),and the standardized score is(63.80 � 2.43).4.Factors affecting the transitional care needs of patients with breast cancer after surgery.In terms of transitional care content,the results of single factor analysis showed that age,education level,occupation,and monthly family income had an effect on the transitional care content requirements,and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).After multivariate linear regression analysis,the results showed that age and education level had an effect on the content of transitional care,and explained a total of 30.8% of the total variation.In terms of the demand for transitional care methods,the single factor analysis showed that age had an effect on transitional care The style requirements had an impact,and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusions1.The questionnaire of transitional care needs of breast cancer patients compiled in this study has good reliability and validity,and can be used for the investigation of transitional care needs of breast cancer patients.2.Patients with postoperative breast cancer have a higher score for transitional care needs and strong transitional care needs.3.The factors that affect the transitional care needs of patients with breast cancer after surgery are age and education level.The older the patient,the higher the demand for transitional care;the lower the education level of the patient,the higher the demand for transitional care.
