Clinical Observation Of Qingkui Yuyang Prescription Enema Treatment On Ulcerative Colitis With Damp-heat In Large Intestine

Objective To observe the effect of Qingkui Yuyang prescription enema on clinical efficacy for treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis accompanied by damp-heat in intestine.?Methods Sixty patients with ulcerative colitis damp-heat in intestine admitted to Department of Gastroenterology of Lianyungang Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)from October 2017 to October 2019 were enrolled,they were divided into two groups:The experimental group and the versus group according to the difference in therapeutic methods,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral mesalazine combined with mesalazine enema;The experimental group was treated by oral mesalazine combined with Qingkui Yuyang prescription enema?The two groups were treated for 4 weeks,and followed up for3 months.The differences of symptom scores,Baron endoscopic scores and quality of life scores,clinical efficacy and the adverse reaction rate of the two groups were compared after treatment and the recurrence rate in the follow up of the two groups were also compared..Results There was no statistically significant difference in symptom score,endoscopic score,and quality of life score between the control group and the experimental group before treatment(all P>0.05).The symptom score and endoscopic score of the two groups were lower after treatment than before treatment,and the quality of life score was higher than before treatment[(The experimental group abdominal pain scores:4.76±0.42 vs.l.79±0.20;diarrhea score:3.72±0.22 vs.1.81±0.25;bloody purulent stool score:4.15±0.39 vs.1.69±0.27;endoscopic score:1.76±0.21 vs.0.56±0.06;quality of lifescore:128.71±13.32 vs.166.52±15.24;The control group group abdominal pain scores:4.69±0.43 vs.1.74±0.16;diarrhea score:3.85±0.36 vs.1.83±0.19;bloody purulent stool score:4.17±0.35 vs.1.72±0.21;endoscopic score:1.81±0.18 vs.0.54±0.05;quality of lifescore:125.80±11.19 vs.167.94±16.04)The differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the clinical efficacy of the experimental group(96.7%)was better than that of the control group(83.3%),with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in symptom scores,endoscopic scores or quality of life scores between the two groups after treatment(all P>0.05).No significant adverse reactions were found in the two groups,and the recurrence rates of the control group and the experimental group were 54.5%(6/11)and 7.7%(1/13),respectively.The difference in recurrence rates between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Qingkui yuyang prescriptionenema treatment is obviously effective in the treatment of patients with colorectal damp-heat ulcerative colitis,as it is safe and can improve the clinical symptoms and the quality of life.The clinical efficacy was similar to that of mesalazine enema group,and the recurrence rate was lower than that of mesalazine enema group.
