ObjectiveParents are the main caregivers of VLBWI after discharge, and their care ability is closely related to the long-term quality of life of VLBWI.The intervention program was constructed to improve the ability of parents to care for VLBWI,and to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness.MethodsThis study is divided into two parts:the first part is the construction of the intervention program in the ability of parents to care of VLBWI.The second part is the implementation and evaluation of the intervention program.1.The construction of the intervention program in the ability of parents to care of VLBWI.Through literature review and theoretical guidance, the first draft of intervention program was formed, and further the intervention program was improved after consulting experts and interviewing parents, and the implementation draft was formed finally.2.The implementation and evaluation of the intervention program. In this part, quantitative research method is used to implement and evaluate the intervention program. We select the VLBWI and their parents who will be admitted to the premature infant intensive care unit of a hospital in Henan Province from October 2019 to February 2020.The subjects were randomly divided into intervention group and control group by envelope method. The intervention group was given FIC according to the intervention plan, and the control group was given routine nursing.Questionnaires were collected the timing of admission and after the intervention(the time of discharge and one month after discharge)to evaluate the effect of the intervention.SPSS21.0 was applied to analyzing the data, including ?2 test,t-test,descriptive statistics and repeated measurement analysis of variance.ResultsThis study included a total of 100 subjects,The lost subjects was 6,the effective samples was 94.The 47 subjects was included in the intervention group and 47 subjects in the control group. The results show that:1.Comparison of the scores of the ability of parents to care between the two groups after intervention. The total scores of the ability of parents to care in the intervention group were increased from the time of admission(49.34±4.13)to the time of discharge(71.70±6.55).Compared with the control group, the ability of parents to care was significantly improved in the intervention group.2.Comparison of the scores of parents'self-efficacy between two groups of after intervention. The total scores of parents' self-efficacy in the intervention group were increased from admission(16.89±3.32)to discharge(29.94±4.30).Compared with the control group, the total scores of parents' self-efficacy in the intervention group were higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant.3.Comparison of the scores of parents' tension and anxiety between two groups after intervention. The scores of parents' tension and anxiety in the intervention group were decreased from admission(134.96±5.44)to discharge(79.53±5.05).Compared with the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.4.Comparison of clinical outcome indicators between two groups of children after intervention. There were significant differences in clinical outcomes, breastfeeding rate, feeding intolerance rate, and readmission rate.Conclusion1.The intervention program can improve the ability of parental care of VLBW1 and improve parents' self-efficacy of VLB WI,at the same time relieve the tension and anxiety of parents of VLBWI.2.The intervention program is beneficial to improve the clinical outcome of VLBW1.
