Objective:1.Investigate the characteristics and analyze the influencing factors of eating behaviors and parental feeding styles of children with recurrent respiratory tract infections.2.Evaluate the health education effect of the eating behaviors of children with recurrent respiratory tract infections, according to a health education program based on the Human Center Design method.Methods:Cross-sectional survey:The "Children's Eating Behaviors Questionnaire" was conducted in children aged 1-14 with recurrent respiratory infections and healthy controls from Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province, and their parents who were randomly selected based on simple random sampling and convenience sampling.Respondents were divided into recurrent respiratory tract infections group,non-recurrent respiratory tract infections hospitalization group, and healthy control group according to the diagnostic criteria for recurrent respiratory tract infections. The data were processed using several statistical methods such as descriptive statistics,one-way analysis of variance, and structural equation model. Then the characteristics and influencing factors of eating behaviors and parental feeding styles in children with recurrent respiratory tract infections were described after further analysis and research.Health education for children's eating behaviors:The parents and children were invited to design and produce Human Centered Design health education series materials.60 children with recurrent respiratory tract infections were randomly selected from two inpatient wards of the pediatrics department in one hospital in Yangzhou based on simple random sampling.According to the different distributions of the two wards,30 children from one ward were randomly assigned to the experimental group and 30 cases from another similar ward to the control group. Then their parents were invited into different WeChat groups to accept different methods of health education on parental feeding style behavior and children eating style behavior. The parents from the experimental group accepted "one-on-one" education using Human centered design health education materials for 2-3 times, and the parents from the control group accepted the clinical routine health education. After the health education, the parents were followed up with questionnaires on the 0 days,7th day,and 28th days through WeChat or telephone, and then completed the " Eating Behavior of Children with Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections Questionnaire".The data were analyzed and processed using statistical methods such as independent-sample T test,paired-sample T test, and variance analysis. The health education effect of the different health education patterns based on Human centered design health education methods and clinical routine health education methods were compared,in order to provide new educational strategies for clinical staff.Results:1.Children with recurrent respiratory tract infections scored significantly lower in"Enjoyment of Food" and "Desire to Drink" than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05)and scored significantly higher in "Emotional Undereating" than those in other two groups(P<0.05).In addition?" parental feeding style of children with recurrent respiratory tract infections were low " control feeding " and high "Emotional Feeding" were. The results of structural equation fitting between children's eating behavior and related variables show that:the children's gender and the parental feeding styles would affect children's eating behaviors; The results of one-way analysis and bivariate correlation analysis of feeding behavior were shown:parental feeding style,Mothers' education, and children's BMI would affect parental feeding styles.2.Before the health education, there were no statistical differences in the results of Children's Eating Behavior Questionnaire and Parental Feeding Style Questionnaire(P>0.05).On the 7th day after the health education, the two groups showed significant differences in the CEBQ total scores and Slowness in Eating(P<0.05).It showed statistical differences in Control,Instrumental Feeding,Encouragement to Eat and Emotional Feeding(P<0.05).On the 28th day after the health education, there were statistical differences between two groups except Desire to Drink and Slowness in Eating in the results of Children's Eating Behavior Questionnaire, and there were statistical differences between the four dimensions and the total scores of the Parental Feeding Style Questionnaire(P<0.05).Before and after health education in the group:There were statistical differences except"Desire to Drink" and"Slowness in Eating" in the experimental group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05);Besides,for Parental Feeding Style Questionnaire, there were significant differences in every dimension and total scores in the experimental group(P<0.05),while the differences between the control group were not significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The children with recurrent respiratory tract infections had lower appetite, low drinking desire and were susceptible to the negative feeling when eating. These children's parents had relatively low control feeding process, lack encouragement feeding practice and high emotional feeding behavior. The main influencing factors of children's eating behavior were:the parents' feeding styles ang children's gender.Caregivers in different relationship with children shown different feeding styles.BMI level of children and mather's education level had influenced on the choice of parental feeding style.2.The HCD health education method significantly improved the health education effect.
