ObjectiveBy investigating and analyzing the status of mild cognitive impairment(MCI)in Chaoyang District Community of Beijing, this paper aims to understand the basic characteristics, prevalence and related factors of MCI in Chaoyang District Community of Beijing, and to provide scientific basis for further intervention of MCI.MethodsFrom September 2018 to March 2019,a multi-stage random sampling method was used to study the elderly aged 60 years and over in 10 communities in Chaoyang District,Beijing.A total of 1973 questionnaires were collected and 1954 people were included in the analysis. The subjects were investigated by face-to-face questionnaire, which included general demographic data, lifestyle and physical disease status. The cognitive function was assessed by the Chinese version of dementia screening scale and mini-mental state examination(MMSE).SPSS22.0 software was used to analyze the data, and Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between MCI and demographic data lifestyle and physical disease status, multiple Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related factors of MCI.Results1.The study analyzed 1,954 People aged 60 years and over in Chaoyang District,Beijing, including 647 men(33.11%)and 1,307 women(66.89%),with an average age of 69.64±5.95 years.Among the study participants,91 elderly people had MCI and the prevalence of MCI was 4.66%.The standardized prevalence rate was 4.92%.The prevalence rate was 5.56%in males and 4.21%in females, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The prevalence of MCI increased with age(P<0.05).2.The results of Chi-square test showed that there were significant differences in the prevalence of MCI among the demographic characteristics of education and occupation(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in nationality, retirement or residence(P>0.05).The prevalence of MCI was correlated with drinking, using Wechat, using computer, and having other leisure activities, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in other factors(P>0.05).The prevalence of MCI was higher in the elderly with a history of parkinson's disease, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in the family history of hypertension, heart disease, endocrine and metabolic system disease, traumatic brain injury, cerebral infarction, dementia and Depression(P>0.05).3.Multiple Logistic Regression analysis showed that age, drinking, tea drinking history, using wechat and other leisure activities were the related factors of the elderly with MCI(P<0.05).Among them, tea drinking, using wechat and other leisure activities were negative correlation factors, while old age, drinking alcohol and riding tricycle/Bicycle were positive correlation factors.ConclusionThe study showed that the prevalence of MCI in the elderly of Chaoyang District was 4.66%,and that old age and alcohol consumption may increase the risk of MCI,tea consumption, use of wechat and other leisure activities may reduce the risk of developing MCI.We should pay more attention to the health of the old people, encourage them to take part in exercise and leisure activities, and develop a healthy life style.
