Objective:To understand the status quo of primary caregivers' preparedness in decompensated cirrhosis patients, analyze the related factors influencing primary caregivers' readiness in decompensated cirrhosis patients, and explore the influence of family empowerment guidance on primary caregivers' preparedness and anxiety level in decompensated cirrhosis patients.Methods:1.During October,2018-June,2019 from one of Shanxi's first class hospitals gastroenterology department by adopting convenience sampling method to collect 180 caregivers of cirrhosis patients, general information questionnaire and caregivers preparedness questionnaire(Caregiver Prepareness Scale)were used as a research tool,to investigate main caregivers preparedness status and its influencing factors to the patients.2.From July 2019-December 2019 in Shanxi,a first class hospital gastroentrrology department, main caregivers of a total 98 members, were divided into an experimental group(49 cases)and another comparative group(49 cases). The experimental group took family empowerment interventions and routine nursing, and the comparative group adopted routine nursing, using general data questionnaire, caregivers preparedness questionnaire(Caregiver Preparedness Scale, the CPS),Self-rating Anxiety Scale,(SAS)as a research tool,to investigate the effect of family empowerment on primary caregivers' preparedness and anxiety level in decompensated cirrhosis patients.Results:1.A total of 180 caregivers participated in the survey. The caregiver preparedness score to patients with decompensated cirrhosis was 17.12±1.71,the highest score was physiological needs with a score of 2.74±0.44,and the lowest score,1.71±0.51,was fromthe service plan.Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS).2.Single factor analysis shows that there are statistically significance in the differences in caregivers' gender, education level, monthly income level, relationship with patients,care-giving experience, whether there were co-caregivers,daily care duration, patient age and liver function classifications(P<0.05).Multivariate linear regression analysis shows that daily care duration, monthly income, relationship with patients, care giving experience, whether there are co-caregivers,patient age,and liver function classification are the influencing factors of caregiver preparedness score.3.There is no statistical significance in the comparison difference of general data between the two groups of caregivers and patients(P>0.05).There was no statistical significance in the scores difference between the two groups of caregivers' preparedness and anxiety self-rating scale before intervention(P>0.05).There was statistical significance in the scores defference between caregivers' preparedness and anxiety self-rating scale after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Preparedness level of caregivers of patients with decompensated cirrhosis is low, which requires extensive attention. The service plan is a weakness for the caregivers and requires skilled guidance from the medical staff.2.Daily commitment to care time, monthly income, relationship with patients, care experience, whether there are co-caregivers,patient age,and liver function level are the influencing factors for caregivers' preparedness.3.Family empowerment guidance significantly improves the primary caregivers' preparation ability and reduces the anxiety level of primary caregivers.
