Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Gumibao decoction on the treatment of residual symptoms after vertebroplasty.According to the results of the experiment,we can determine whether Gumibao decoction has a definite effect on relieving residual pain, improving the symptoms such as lumbar and knee tenderness,as well as the treatment of OP.Methods:A total of 80 patients underwent single segment vertebroplasty in Suzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2019 to September 2019 were included in this study. The patients were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, there were 40 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were given Caltrate D600mg per day+Alendronate Sodium70mg per week after the operation. The experimental group take Gumibao decoction on the basis of the control group.Through to follow-up,to record BMD values of two groups, including preoperative,3 months and 6 months after operation.Record the VAS score,TCM symptoms score and ODI score, including preoperative and postoperative,1 month,3months and 6 months after operation. The data including the rate of vertebral refracture were statistically analyzed to compare the therapeutic effects of the two groups.Results:1.The general condition(age, gender, fracture segment),preoperative BMD,VAS,TCM syndrome score and ODI were compared between the two groups,P values>0.05,they are comparable.2.BMD value:after 3 months of treatment and 6 months of treatment,BMD values of the two groups were statistically analyzed, and P values all>0.05,showing no statistical significance, indicating that BMD could not be improved after treatment in both groups.3.VAS:VAS scores of the two groups were compared between the two groups on the first day after surgery, with no statistical significance(P>0.05).Comparisons were conducted between the two groups 1 month after surgery,3 months after surgery, and 6 months after surgery, with P<0.05,indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in relieving pain from the first month after surgery.4.TCM syndrome score:the scores of the two groups were compared before surgery,on the first day after surgery and at the first month after surgery, without statistical significance(P>0.05).The comparison between the groups at 3 months and 6 months after surgery showed that the experimental group was superior to the control group in relieving the residual symptoms such as lumbar spinal pain and lumbar and knee tenderness after 3 months of treatment.5.ODI score:ODI score of the two groups was compared before surgery,on the first day after surgery, and at the first month after surgery, with no statistical significance(P>0.05).The comparison between the groups at 3 months and 6 months after surgery showed that P<0.05,indicating that the experimental group could improve the lumbar functions more effectively after 3 months of treatment6.Vertebral refracture rate:by chi-square test,P>0.05,showing no statistical significance, indicating that treatment in both groups could not effectively prevent vertebral refracture. Conclusion:Gumibao decoction can effectively improve the postoperative symptoms and lumbar function after vertebroplasty.
