Objective: To explore the clinical significance of the expression of perforin(Pf)and granzyme B(Gz-B)in peripheral blood of patients with Parkinson's disease(PD),and to provide a new perspective for studying the pathogenesis of PD.Method: The expressions of CTL-Gz-B,CTL-Pf,NK-Gz-B and NK-Pf related to Cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)and natural killer cells(NK)in peripheral blood of PD patients were detected. In addition, the correlations between CTL-Gz-B,CTL-Pf,NK-Gz-B and NK-Pf were analyzed. Results: the expression levels of CTL-Gz-B,CTL-Pf,NK-Gz-B and NK-Pf in peripheral blood of patients with Parkinson's disease were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The two groups were different in clinical motor symptoms. There was no significant difference in the expression of CTL-Gz-B,CTL-Pf,NK-Gz-B and NK-Pf in peripheral blood between patients. The expression of CTL-Gz-B,NK-Gz-B,CTL-Pf and NK-Pf in peripheral blood of patients treated with levodopa or dopamine receptor agonists was not statistically different. The expression of.CTL-Gz-B was positively correlated with the severity and duration of disease in patients with PD.There was no correlation between the expression of CTL-Pf,NK-Gz-B and NK-Pf and the severity and duration of disease in patients with PD.Conclusion: the expression level of CTL-Gz-B,CTL-Pf,NK-Gz-B and NK-Pf in peripheral blood of PD patients is increased, but there is no significant difference between different clinical symptoms and different state of taking. The changes of peripheral blood CTL-Gz-B may help to determine the progress of the disease.
