Factors Affecting The Outcome Of Manipulation Under Anesthesia For Stiffness After Knee Surgery

ObjectiveThrough collecting related patients' datas,we contrast and analyze to find out the potential factors influencing the success rate of MUA.MethodsThrough checking the information,we know the basic datas of the patient who are cured by MUA,including age?gender?Body Mass Index?interval time?anesthesia method?hospitalization days,etc.We divide all patients into successful treatment group and unsuccessful treatment group.We use SPSS22.0 software for statistical analysis.Through the analysis of datas,we find that whether the factors affect the treatment result.ResultsWe find successful treatment group contains 68 cases(63.6%)and unsuccessful treatment group contains 39 cases(36.4%)after one year of follow-up.The knee flexion range of motion is 55.70±14.94°before MUA treatment,121.49±2.58°during the operation,94.90±8.21°out of the hospital,96.54±15.10°after one year.We put the preoperative and follow-up ROM into t test by SPSS22.0 software.The P value is less than 0.05.We think the results have statistical significance.The treatment is effective.We put the data into t test and find the differences among age ? BMI ? ROM before treatment ? ROM in surgery have no statistical significance,and the differences in interval time and hospitalization days have statistical significance.We put the data into logistic regression analysis further and think the differences among age ? gender ? BMI ? ROM before treatment?ROM in surgery have no statistical significance,and the differences in interval time?anesthesia method and hospitalization days have statistical significance.Conclusion(1)MUA is an effective method of treatment for knee flexion stiffness after surgery,with many advantages include simple operation,small trauma,less bleeding,faster recovery,fewer complications,and good therapeutic effects.(2)In the process of MUA treatment,we should pay attention to the reasonable power and don't use violence.Otherwise it will cause some complications such as avulsion fractures or tendon injury.(3)Interval time?anesthesia method and hospitalization days are factors affecting the outcome of manipulation under anesthesia.
