ObjectiveBy searching, inducting, summarizing the literature to understand children with acute lower respiratory tract infections(ALRTI)common virus biology, clinical features and epidemiology. To survey the virus etiology in nasopharyn-geal aspirate(NPA)collected from children with acute lower respiratory tract infections(ALRTI)in Taian.MethodTwo hundred and two NPA samples were collected to detect 10 respiratory virus by multiplex PCR,including respiratory syncytial viruses(RSV)A and B,rhinovirus(RhinoV),parainfluenza virus(PIV)1,2,3,flu virus(Flu)A and B,adenovirus(ADV),humanmetapneumovirus(HMPV),coronavirus(CoV)OC43/HKU1 and CoV 229E/NL63,Human metapneumovirus(HMPV),Human Bocavirus(HBoV),were detected by PCR.RosultThe positive pathogenic respiratory viruses was 95(47.02%)in 202 NPA samples.Of95 virus positive patients,45 were RSV infection,RSVA infection were 36,RSVB infection were 9;35 were PIV infection,PIV type 1 infection were 4 cases,PIV type 2 infection were29 cases,PIV type 3 infection were 2 cases;Including 4 cases of Rhinovirus,6 of Adenovirus infection,10 of enterovirusinfection,2 of influenza virus A infection,3 of human coronavirus infection, two cases wereHCoV-OC43,one case was HCoV-NL63.Of 95 virus positive patients,17(37.78%)were 2 viruses co-infection.The most frequently detected virus was RSV,followed by PIV.Respiratory virus positive rate higher in winter and spring. The positive rate of respiratory virus with age showed a downward trend.ConclusionRSV and PIV was the predominant pathogen in children with ALRTI in Taian area.Respiratory virus positive rate higher in winter and spring. The positive rate of respiratory virus with age showed a downward trend.
