Background The development of society not only brings social and economic progress,but also affects the improvement of living standards and the acceleration of the pace of life.The pace of college students' study and life is getting faster and faster,and they are under more and more pressure,which may affect their physical and mental health.Relevant studies have found that the detection rate of anxiety among college students is 9%to 25%,especially among medical students,anxiety and depression are more common.At present,the research objects are mainly undergraduate colleges,and there are relatively few researches on freshmen in higher vocational colleges.This study investigated the anxiety of first-year medical college freshmen in ZhaoQing,GuangDong province,as well as the causes and related influencing factors.Objective To investigate the anxiety situation and its influencing factors of first-year medical college freshmen,analyze the causes and related influencing factors of the anxiety situation,provide theoretical reference and some countermeasures and Suggestions for medical college freshmen to effectively adjust their psychological state,and provide reference data for related research on anxiety.Methods In a cross-sectional study,1,050 first-year medical college students in ZhaoQing were assessed on the anxiety self-rating scale(SAS),Baker's Depression Questionnaire(BDI),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Mobile Phone Dependence Questionnaire(MPIQ),and socio-demographic data.944 effective questionnaires were collected,with an effective recovery rate of 89.9%.The questionnaire data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 19.0.The measurement data were normally distributed.The demographic data were expressed in relative Numbers and their ratios(%),and the comparison between the sleep quality,depression and mobile phone dependence scales was expressed in mean and standard deviation(x±s).T test and chi-square test were used for inter-group comparison.Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of anxiety.Results The anxiety detection rate of medical college freshmen was 13.8%(130/944).SAS was divided into the non-anxiety group(SAS<50)and the anxiety group(SAS? 50).It was found by t test that the anxiety group had higher smoking and drinking rates,poor health,high learning pressure,decreased learning interest,and significantly increased scores of PSQI,BDI and MPIQ.Logistic regression analysis of non-anxiety group(SAS<50)and anxiety group(SAS?50)showed that:learning stress(?=0.806,95%CI(1.217,4.115))?PSQI[?=0.140,95%CI(1.023,1.292)]?BDI[?=0.163,95%CI(1.142,1.214))? MPIQ[?=-0.033,95%CI(0.943,0.993))?Conclusion The detection rate of anxiety among first-year medical college freshmen in ZhaoQing Medical College is in the middle level in China.Increased study pressure,poor sleep quality,depression and dependence on mobile phones are the main factors influencing anxiety among first-year medical college freshmen.Therefore,the anxiety of college students,especially the anxiety of medical college freshmen,needs to be paid attention to by students,parents and schools,and appropriate measures should be taken for active intervention.
