Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of modified quzhi decoction on relieving local pain and repairing joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis on the basis of conventional treatment. Methods:In this study,60 patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected from the orthopedic outpatient department of Jiangsu provincial hospital of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine or hospitalized patients, and were divided into control group and treatment group,30 cases each, according to the inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria and shedding criteria.Patients in the control group received conventional basic treatment with oral celecoxib capsules(1 pill,2 times a day)and glucosamine sulfate tablets(2 tablets,3 times a day).Patients in the treatment group received oral modified quzhi decoction(1 dose per day, divided into morning and evening)in addition to the above conventional basic treatment.Patients in both groups received continuous treatment for 4 weeks. To observe the clinical effect of modified quzhi decoction on relieving knee joint pain and knee joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis on the basis of routine treatment of oral celecoxib capsule and glucosamine sulfate tablets.Visual analogue pain score(VAS score)was recorded before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment,as well as improved WOMAC osteoarthritis index score, patella range of motion score, knee range of motion score. The two groups of data were compared for statistical analysis and adverse reactions were recorded.Results:(1)All the 60 cases entered the statistical analysis, the control group and the treatment group of general information(age, gender, weight)there was no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).(2)Compared with the control group and the treatment group, there was no statistical difference in VAS score, improved WOMAC score, patellar range of motion score and knee range of motion score before treatment(P>0.05).(3)VAS scores and modified WOMAC scores of each group after 4 weeks of treatment were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05),and there were differences in scores between the two groups at 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).(4)There was no statistically significant difference in the scores of range of motion of the knee in each group at 4 weeks before and after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment(P>0.05).(5)Before and after treatment, there was a statistically significant difference in patella mobility score in the treatment group(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).(6)The effective rate of clinical treatment in the treatment group(93.33%)was higher than that in the control group(90.00%).The effective rate between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The two treatment regimens have certain curative effect, and the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.2 Modified quzhi decoction can effectively relieve local pain around the knee joint and improve knee joint function, with better reliability and higher clinical safety.
