Clinical Investigation Analysis Of Admission For 2053 Malocclusion Patients

Objective: 2053 malocclusion patients were collected to analyze malocclusion types,sex composition and age distribution of orthodontic patients.Methods: 2053 cases attending orthodontic department of Yijishan hospital,the first affiliated hospital of Wannan medical college and Wuhu stomatological hospital from July 2014 to June 2019 were retrospectively studied.Their malocclusion types,sex composition and age distribution were statistically analyzed.Results: In those 2053 cases that we collected,the sex composition were 858 cases of male patients with 41.79%,1195 cases of female patients with 58.21%,the sex ratio was 1 to 1.39,male patients had increased.The malocclusion types were 883 cases of class ? patients with 43.01%,719 cases of class ? patients with 35.02%,414 cases of class ? patients with 20.17%,37 cases of special type patients with 1.80%.The age composition were 97 cases of deciduous dentition group with 4.72%,125 cases of mixed dentition group with 6.09%,1420 cases of permanent dentition group with69.17%,411 cases of adult dentition group with 20.02%,deciduous dentition group had increased.Of the total 2053 patients,23.72% which was 487 cases were admitted for treatment during July 2014 to February 2016,32.73% which was 672 cases were admitted for treatment during March 2016 to October 2017,43.55% which was 894 cases were admitted for treatment during November 2017 to June 2019.Conclusion:1.The patients attending orthodontic department of Yijishan hospital,the first affiliated hospital of Wannan medical college and Wuhu stomatological hospital are obviously increasing in recent five years.2.The main malocclusion types are Angle class ? and class ?.The main age composition is permanent dentition group.3.The composition ratio had increased in the male patients,deciduous dentition group patients and class ? patients in the deciduous dentition and mixed dentition.4.Continue to prevent malocclusion.
