Objective: To observe the orthodontic treatment design and clinical characteristics of the Angle Class ? malocclusion.Materials and Methods: A male patient who was 15 years' old suffered from Angle Class ? malocclusion was selected from orthodontic department of Fujian Stomatology Hospital at 2013. His profile was straight, with Class ? molar relationship.He lost mandibular left first molar for a long time. He had a lot of decayed teeth and the lower incisors were lingual inclination. The analysis of the cephalometry was performed a Class ? skeletal pattern,since the value of ANB and Wits was decreased. The value of SNB?SND?Go-Me were increased. The case was treated by extraction of teeth(16,25,36 tooth) with straight wire appliances.Result: At the end of the orthodontic treatment,the ideal overjet and overbite is achieved. There is a good alignment of teeth in both arches without gaps. Occlusal relationship on the left side is still adjusted.The profile is improved.Conclusion: Satisfactory curative effect of removing first molars in the treatment of Angle Class III.
