Objective: To observe the improvement of the clinical symptoms and signs of children with diarrhea(damp-heat diarrhea)treated by Zhushao Huashi Decoction combined with western medicine basic treatment, this article clarifies the practicality of this prescription in treating this disease and provides a new method for clinical treatment. Methods: 90 children with damp-heat diarrhea were randomly divided into a test group(Zhushao Huashi Decoction +basic treatment),a control group Ⅰ(Gegen Huangqin Huanglian Decoction + basic treatment)and a control group Ⅱ(basic treatment)each with30 cases.Oral rehydration salts(ORS)for moderate dehydration to correct water and electrolyte disturbances;intravenous rehydration for moderate dehydration;treatment for correcting acidosis and low potassium, low calcium, and low magnesium according to the condition;giving probiotics— Blaird yeast powder. The course of treatment is 5 days, and one or two courses can be observed continuously. The individual symptoms and signs, changes in total syndrome points, disease efficacy, and antibiotic use before and after treatment are observed and compared in each group, and the data are analyzed statistically. Results: 1.When comparing the total efficacy of the referred groups,we can easily find out that the experimental group and the control group accidentally bear the same total effective rate of 90.0%,and the total effective rate of the control group Ⅰ is 90.0%.And the number in the control group Ⅱ is proved to be 66.7%.There are significant differences between the test group and the two control groups(P <0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ(P> 0.05),indicating that the therapeutic effect of the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ was better than that of the control group Ⅱ,and the clinical efficacy of the experimental group and control group Ⅰ was comparable.2.After treatment,a huge statistical difference appears to have come into being between the three groups of main points of traditional Chinese medicine before and after treatment(P <0.05),indicating that each group can effectively improve the clinicalsymptoms of children with hot and humid diarrhea. And the main scores of the test group and the control group Ⅰ were lower than those of the control group which is after treatment, and this disparity is statistically evident(P <0.05).There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ(P> 0.05),which indicated that the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ had better efficacy in improving the main symptoms than the control group Ⅱ,and the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ had comparable effects. When comparing the three groups of TCM scores before and after the treatment,we can see the statistics is obviously different(P <0.05)indicating that each group can effectively improve the clinical secondary symptoms of children with damp-heat and diarrhea. The scores of the syndromes in the experimental group and the control group Ⅰwere lower(than those in the control groups which is after treatment, showing statistically significant difference(P <0.05).However,no significant difference is found between the experimental group and the control groupⅠ(P> 0.05).),indicating that the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ had better secondary symptoms than the control group Ⅱ,and the experimental group and the control group Ⅰ had comparable effects.3.There was no significant difference in the use of antibiotics in each group(P> 0.05),indicating that there was no difference in the use of antibiotics in the three groups, but the difference in the use of antibiotics in the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).),The duration of antibiotic use in the test group and the control group Ⅰ was lower than that in the control group Ⅱ,and there was no significant difference between the test group and the control group Ⅰ(P> 0.05).
