Objective:Through a retrospective study,TCM syndrome type of patients with MODS in ICU wards were counted, and the relationship between TCM syndrome type and mortality was analyzed, which could provide references for investigating the distribution of TCM syndrome type of MODS and the relationship between TCM syndrome type and mortality, and provide scientific basis for the treatment of MODS by integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine. Methods:A total of 116 patients who were admitted to the ICU from September l,2017 to January 31,2020 and diagnosed as MODS were selected.Relevant information of these patients’general condition, symptoms and signs, and laboratory examinations were collected.TCM syndrome type and influencing factors of mortality of patients with MODS were collated, and SPSS26.0 statistical software was used for data processing and analysisResults:1.Among the 116 patients with MODS,the ratio of male to female is 1.97:1.In terms of age,the majority is≥60 years old, accounting for 82.8%.The majority of the length of stay in ICU is<7 days, accounting for 55.2%.Patients with MODS with history of chronic disease(65.5%)are more likely than with previous physical fitness(34.5%).The mortality of 116 patients with MODS is 58.6%.2.TCM syndrome type are divided into four types, and the blood stasis syndrome accounts for the highest proportion(32.8%).There is no significant difference in the distribution of TCM syndrome type in gender, age and causes. And there is significant difference in the distribution of TCM syndrome type in APACHE || score,SOFA score and mortality.3.There is no significant difference in the distribution of mortality in gender and length of stay in ICU,but is statistically significant difference in age,the previous history of chronic illness, causes, the numbers of dysfunctional organs, dysfunctional organs,APACHE Ⅱ score and SOFA score.4.The logistic regression analysis shows that age,the previous history of chronic diseases, the numbers of dysfunctional organs and TCM syndrome type are independent risk factors for death in patients with MODS.Conclusion:1.The mortality of 116 patients with MODS is 58.6%,which is roughly in line with most literature reports.2.The main TCM syndrome type is the blood stasis syndrome. The distribution of TCM syndrome type is related to APACHE Ⅱ score,SOFA score and mortality.3.The mortality of patients with MODS is related to age,the previous history of chronic illness, causes, the numbers of dysfunctional organs, dysfunctional organs,APACHE Ⅱ score and SOFA score.4.Age,the previous history of chronic diseases, the numbers of dysfunctional organs and TCM syndrome type are independent risk factors for death in patients with MODS.
