Objective Through retrospective analysis of clinical data of patients withtsutsugamushi disease of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi MedicalUniversity, the paper aims to investigate the risk factors of tsutsugamushidisease MODS, thus give guidance for the clinical work, avoid MODS andlower the mortality rate of tsutsugamushi. Methods Take the following aspects as11factors of tsutsugamushidisease MODS: age, gender, basic chronic disease, diagnose time, usinghormones before diagnose, duration of fever, inflammation blood picture, abnormal serum potassium, abnormal natremia, blood sedimentation, C-reaetive Protein(CRP), retrospectively analyse the clinical data of199patientswith tsutsugamushi disease of Guangxi Medical University from year2000to2010, take single-factor measurement of the testing results and analyse thecount datas(t test/a chi-square test, P <0.05is a significant difference) to seewhether the results are related to MODS ((not MODS=0、MODS=1)), roughlypick up the meaningful risk factors, take the risk factors as arguments, andwhether MODS is complicated by is the dependent variable, do logisticregression of them, employ Forward Stepwise regression to pick up variable quantity, and take the significance level of a=0.05as regression model. Thefinal variable quantity that has significantly meaning is the risk factor oftsutsugamushi disease MODS.Results It can be seen from the result of single-factor analysis that therelated risk factors of tsutsugamushi disease MODS is age, duration of fever, inflammation blood picture and CRP(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysisreveal that there are two variable quantities(P<0.05) that influencetsutsugamushi disease MODS, they are fever process and CRP. According to theregression coefficient β and the degree of how the factors influencetsutsugamushi disease MODS, the order should successively be duration offever and CRP.Conclusion The risk factors of tsutsugamushi disease MODS areduration of fever and CRP, tsutsugamushi disease patients with long duration offever and increased CRP will easily take MODS. Tsutsugamushi diseasepatients with long duration of fever should be specially concerned, avoidingmisdignose and checking whether there are any internal organs damaged.Dynamically monitor liver function, kidney function, cardiac enzymes and PTto find out the situation of organ damage in time, take comprehensive treatmentfor it, thus lower the possibility of MODS and improve the prognosis.Additionally, clinical work should try to monitor CRP of tsutsugamushi diseasepatients. If CRP increases obviously, some active treatments should be taken toprevent it from worsening and MODS, thus lower the rate of mortality.
