Objective : To investigate the expression level of Wisp2 gene in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC),and analyze its correlation with clinopathological parameters and prognosis of ESCC.Methods:Cancer tissues of 95 cases of ESCC Kazah patients and matched paracancerous tissues were collected Wisp2 gene expression level was detected by real-time flourescent quantification and immunohistochemical staining correlation between expression level and clinicopathological features was analyzed based on Wisp2 high/low expression. Results : The expression rate of Wisp2 gene in the esophageal cancer group was 63.16%,which was significantly higher than 36.84% in the adjacent normal tissues.Western blot analysis further demonstrated the overexpression of Wisp2 protein in ESCC tissues.Wisp2 gene expression was associated with clinical stage,T stage differentiation and lymphatic metastasis of ESCC,while there was no correlation with gender age and tumor size Overexpression of Wisp2 gene decreased overall survival(P <0.005).Conclusion:The expression level of Wisp2 in ESCC tissues is higher than that in adjacent tissues and positive expression affects the progression and prognosis of ESCC,which indicates that wisp2 may be a new prognostic indicator and therapeutic target for ESCC. |
