Objective: To further understand the role of sdLDL-C in assessing the severity of coronary artery disease,we investigated the correlation between sdLDL-C level and coronary Syntax score. Methods: The baseline data of general medical records of 364 consecutive patients who visited the Department of Cardiology in the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region due to "chest distress and chest pain" and underwent coronary angiography from January 2019 to July 2019,as well as laboratory parameters such as TG,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,sdLDL-C,ApoA,ApoB,ApoE,Lp(a),and hsCRP.They were divided into mild lesion group(Syntax score ? 22 points),moderate lesion group(22 points < Syntax score ? 32 points),and severe lesion group(Syntax score > 32 points)according to Syntax score, and then further compared various examination indicators to assess the correlation between sdLDL-C and the severity of coronary artery lesions. Results: There were significant differences in sex, diastolic blood pressure(mmHg),history of diabetes, smoking history,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C,ApoA,ApoB,and hsCRP among the case control group(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in TC,TG,LDL-C,sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,ApoB and ApoE among mild group, moderate group and severe group(P < 0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between Syntax score and ApoB?TC?sdLDL-C?TG?sdLDL-C/HDL-C?ApoE?LDL-C?sdLDL-C/LDL-C(correlation coefficients r were 0.432?0.418?0.416?0.276?0.269?0.245?0.180,and 0.156,respectively,P < 0.05 for all). Finally, ordinal multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed, and after adjusting for confounders,sdLDL-C and ApoB were found to be independent risk factors for the severity of coronary lesions(OR = 4.76,10.96,respectively,P < 0.001 for both). Conclusions: ApoB,TC,sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C,TG,ApoE,LDL-C,and sdLDL-C/LDL-C were positively correlated with the severity of coronary artery disease, with sdLDL-C and ApoB being independent risk factors for judging the severity of coronary artery disease.
