Objectives:A meta-analysis was conducted to investigate the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on dysphagia in patients with stroke. Methods:CNKI?WanFang databases?VIP?CBM?PubMed? Cochrane?MEDLINE?Embase Library were searched for randomized controlled studies of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment of dysphagia published before October 2019.Results:seven clinical randomized controlled studies of a total of 269 stroke patients were included in this meta-analysis,136 of them in a rTMS group and 133 in a control group.(1)Meta-analysis showed that the improvement of swallowing function scale score in the rTMS treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(2)Analysis of the efficacy of rTMS in the treatment of post-stroke dysphagia when only the stimulation frequency is considered, the improvement of the swallowing function scale score after high-frequency rTMS treatment is significantly different from that of the control group(P<0.05).The improvement of the functional scale score was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P> 0.05).(3)An analysis of the efficacy of rTMS in the treatment of post-stroke dysphagia when only the stimulation site is considered, the improvement of the swallowing function scale score of stroke patients with rTMS stimulation in the unaffected hemisphere and bilateral hemisphere has significant differences compared with the control group The significance was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the improvement of the swallowing function scale score of stroke patients with rTMS stimulation on the affected hemisphere was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:This meta-analysis indicates that repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation has a positive effect on dysphagia after stroke.Compared with low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation,high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation may be more beneficial to the patients. This meta-analysis also supports that repetitive transcranialmagnetic stimulation on an unaffected or bilateral hemisphere has a significant therapeutic effect on dysphagia.
