Objectives: In this study,we compared the differences of measurement indexes of Andrew's elements ?,? and ? in different vertical vertical skeletal pattern and different genders of individual normal occlusion adults.Method: According to the general investigation and screening of the students in the universities in Urumqi,120 individual normal adults were obtained,60 in the male group,32 in the low angle group,14 in the average angle group and 14 in the high angle group. There were 60 cases in female group,12 in low angle group,36 in average angle group and 12 in high angle group. The measurement indexes UIFA-GALL(cm)?Sn-Mes(cm)?LIFA-Me(cm)?G-Sn(cm)?Go-Co(cm)?Pog-Will(cm)were measured.SPSS 20.0 was used to analyze one-way ANOVA and multiple comparisons among different vertical skeletal pattern. Results: The results of one-way ANOVA showed that Co-Go(cm)?Po-Go(cm)were significantly different in low angle group, average angle group and high angle group in male group(P < 0.05).The results of one-way ANOVA showed that there was a significant difference in Po-Go(cm)between the three groups in female group(P < 0.05).There were significant differences in Sn-Mes(cm),Co-Go(cm)?Po-Go(cm)between the low angle group and the high angle group(P < 0.05).The difference of Po-Go(cm)between low angle group and high angle group was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: There are differences in the measurement results of elements ? of Andrew's six elements among different vertical skeletal pattern and different genders. Therefore,in clinical use of Andrew's six elements the reference value needs to distinguish the vertical skeletal pattern and sex difference. |
