ObjectiveTo evaluate the concentration of serum cartonectin with type 2 diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease, and the association of serum CTRP3 levels with dangerous factors.MethodsAccording to the requirement of subject, selected 178 adults with control subjects(A,n=20),type 2 diabetes(B,n = 52),coronary heart disease(C,n =50),and type 2diab etes mellites complicated by coronary heart disease(D,n = 56).Measuring the risk factors, such as systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),Height,Weight, waist, glyco sylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),Apolipop-rotein A(APOA),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),glutamic-pyruvic transami nase(ALT)etc.Circulating cartonectin and FINS were examined with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results1.Serum cartonectin concentrations were significantly lower in other three groups compared to A group(P<0.05),and the concentration in D group is more lower than B and C group.2.There were no significant correlations in A group.Serum cartonectin was signific antly negatively correlated with waist,FPG,TG,FINS and HOMA-IR,and signific antly positively with HDL-C in B group. In C group, serum cartonectin was significantly negatively correlated with TG,SBP,hsCRP,and significantly positively with HDL-C.In D group, serum cartonectinwas significantly negatively correlated with waist,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,TG,SBP and hsCRP,and significantly positively with HDL-C.3.In a multivariate logistic regression analysis,HOMA-IR,TG and hsCRP are indep endent risk factors of type 2 diabetes mellites complicated by coronary heart disease.Further more, its protective factors are HDL-C and cartonectin.ConclusionThe serum cartonectin is closely relevant to T2 DM and coronary heart disease, suggesting that cartonectin may be the protector in the onset and progression of T2 DM and coronary heart disease.
