Objective: Laparoscopic surgery is currently considered the standard treatment for pheochromocytoma of the kidney.Pheochromocytoma is relatively rare in clinical practice, and further studies are needed to evaluate the factors that can predict the therapeutic outcome of laparoscopic pheochromocytoma resection.Materials and methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 41 patients with pheochromocytoma surgery in xinjiang autonomous region people's hospital from June 2014 to September 2018,including 16males(24.24%)and 50females(75.76%),aged from 30 to 65 years old, with an average age of 49.65±2.65 years old.The history of hypertension :6month ~ 23 years, with tumor diameter of 3.5±2.6cm.Among them,24 cases were isolated from the left side and 42 cases were isolated from the right side.Inclusion criteria were the diagnosis of adrenal functional tumors and laparoscopic adrenalectomy. To analyze the important factors influencing the therapeutic effect. Results: There were 66 patients enrolled in this study.Participants were divided into two groups based on whether they had cured or uncured hypertension. The median ages in the cured and uncured groups were 40.0 and55.0 years,respectively(p-value 0.001).The mean tumor size was 35 mm in the cured group and 25 mm in the uncured group.Patients in the cured group experienced a median of 20 ml of blood loss in both groups.Average operating times were 95 and 85 min, respectively.Only two factors were independently associated with uncured hypertension:age and Systolic blood pressure, with adjusted odds ratios(95% confidence interval)of1.11(1.03,1.17)and 1.03(1.01,1.07),respectively.Conclusion: 1.Age and preoperative systolic blood pressure are predictors of treatment failure in patients undergoing laparoscopic pheochromocytoma resection.2.There was no significant correlation between gender, weight and tumor volume and surgical outcome.
