Objective:To introduce needle-free injection technology into drug injection therapy for pathological scars, and to compare the advantages and disadvantages of needle-free injectors with the conventional needle-type injectors in clinical applications, thus providing new ideas and selections for clinical treatment of pathological scars. Methods:The experiment lasted from June 2017 to December 2018.56 patients enrolled were randomized into the experimental group and the control group,of which 29 patients in the experimental group(38 scars in total)were treated with needle-free injectors, and 27 patients in the control group(40 scars in total)were treated with conventional needle-type injectors. The drugs injected in both groups were:1%triamcinolone acetonide 5 ml+0.25%fluorouracil 0.6 ml?2%lidocaine 0.4 ml.The injection was performed once every 3 weeks and 4 times for 1 course. The pain index of the patients was evaluated and recorded at the end of each treatment, and statistics of the average value was made.Further consultation was given within one month after one course to assess the treatment outcomes and complications. The experimental results were statistically processed by t test and chi-square test. Results:In the experimental group treated with needle-free injectors, the scar injection ports were neat with even drug distribution and in flat shape;in the control group treated with the conventional needle-type injectors, the scar inJ ection ports were not well-injected with uneven drug distribution and in crumby shape. In the experimental group,19(25scars in total)patients had significant response to the treatment, accounting for 65.79%;10(13 scars in total)patients had response to the treatment, accounting for 34.21%;0 patient had no response to the treatment;and the average pain score was(3.87±2.00).In the control group,5(17 scars in total)patients had significant response to the treatment, accounting for42.50%;21(21 scars in total)patients had response to the treatment, accounting for 52.50%;1(2 scars in total)patient had no response to the treatment accounting for 5.00%;and the average pain score was(5.77±2.31).Upon examination, the difference between the experimental group and the control group in terms of treatment effect and pain score was statistically significant. Conclusion:Compared with the conventional needle-type injectors,needle-free ones are easy to operate and grasp;the drug distribution in the scar is more even after injection, and the therapeutic effect is significantly improved;the patient has a light pain and high satisfaction during the treatment, which can effectively improve his or her follow-up treatment compliance. On the whole,needle-free injection technology is worthy of promoting in clinical treatment of pathological scars.
