With the rapid economic development,increasing people’s quality of life,but it is also increasing prevalence,particularly in the rapid expansion of the number of patients with chronic diseases,and increasingly moving in the direction of younger,chronic disease can only be controlled,not cure,prolonged suppression of life,easy to make patients suffer adverse emotional distress,the study showed that patients with chronic diseases has become a high risk of depression,patients with chronic diseases not only need professional medical help,also need human care,which caused a medical social worker attention.In this study,cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT)was used to intervene in a diabetic patient’s negative emotional problems.In the research method,observation and interview were used to collect and analyze the related information,negative emotions and behavioral information of the patient,and Beck Depression Inventory(BDI)was used to test the patient’s negative emotions before and after.In the process of intervening in the adverse emotional problems of the case-holder,based on the theory of emotional cognition and operational restriction,the author finds that the deviated cognition of the case-holder himself is the real cause of the bad emotions.On the basis of the bad emotions and deviated cognition,the case-holder has cognitive and behavioral disorders.Therefore,cognition,emotion and behavior interact with each other.Help the case owner to correct incorrect cognition,alleviate bad mood and correct bad behavior,and use cognitive behavioral therapy model to help the case owner get out of the predicament.Through the evaluation of the service process and effect,the following conclusions can be drawn: 1.From the theoretical point of view,cognitive behavioral therapy is effective in intervening in the negative emotional problems of patients with chronic diseases;2.From the practical process,the family support network not only provides support strength in the process of the author’s service to the client,but also provides driving force for the solution of the follow-up problems of the case owners.From the author’s own point of view,the author has many shortcomings.Due to the lack of experience,there is great room for improvement in the timing of activities and the control of the rhythm of the intervention process.
