Vestibular is considered to be the main organ for determining the balance and the orientation of body,the main function of it is to feel the changes of head position and maintain the balance of body.Vestibular system dysfunction is a common vestibular disease characterized by vertigo,imbalance,dizziness and so on,which seriously affects the quality of life of the patients.The diagnosis of the disease is mainly assessed by vestibular ocular reflex.vestibular ocular reflex is the reflex eye movement caused by vestibular stimulation.The aim is to maintain the stability of retinal imaging by eye movements opposite to the head rotation.The function of the vestibular semicircular canal,which can reflect vestibular function indirectly,was evaluated by eye movements evoked by head movements.In the experiment,the vestibular function data obtained from the mouse model has high reference value for the research,diagnosis and treatment of human vestibular diseases.Therefore,it is urgent to design a system for measuring vestibular eye reflex in mice to study vestibular diseases,analyzing drug action and behavior data.In this paper,a mouse vestibular eye movement reflex test system was developed,which can perform the following functions:(1)Artificial slect sinusoidal stimulation patterns for mice,including frequency and angle.(2)Tracking the eye movements of mice under sinusoidal oscillation in real time.(3)Storage of eye movement data.(4)Processing and analyzing of vestibular eye movement reflex data.In this paper,the performance and efficiency of the system were tested after the system hardware construction and software programming were completed,and satisfactory results were obtained.The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)The role of vestibular in balance was studied,the harm of vestibular dysfunction in human beings was analyzed,and different research methods of human and mouse in vestibular research was compared,the purpose and significance of the study were clearly illustrated.(2)The hardware of the system was designed,the traditional mouse fixed mode was improved,and a detailed description of the new fixed mode was given,the imaging module and stimulates the production of selection module was expounded,the design of light path and circuit,as well as the experimental platform and system hardware were completed.(3)System software was designed,which were divided into three parts: motor control,video processing and data processing.The tools and principles used in each part were explained,the flow chart of whole program was drawn,the process of each step was elaborated,and the design of system software was completed.(4)The hardware and software were combined to complete the building of whole system,functional test and experimental analysis of the system were analyzed to make sure that the system can evaluate the vestibular function of mice.
