Objective:Gallstone is one of the most common gastrointestinal diseases, and it has an ascending trend of morbidity in our country.Researches of domestics and overseas has revealed that the formation of gallstones has a strong connection with inheritance. In our research,we based on gallstone families to discuss inherent characteristics with pedigree with gallstone and the prevalence in gallstone families. Methods:The propositus is defined as the patient who has been diagnosed as gallstone in our hospital. The gallstone pedigree is defined that there are more than one person in the family except the propositus. We have asked medical histories of the propositus about their parents, siblings and children. The relatives of the propositus must show certificates of gallstone above county-level hospitals. We collected 32 pedigrees of Han families among patients in pancreatic and biliary surgery department from January 2017 to January 2018.We analyzed status with chi-square test by SPSS,p<0.05 means significant difference. Results:There are 32 pedigrees containing 184 family members. The prevalence of gallstone is 38.59%.It is much higher in female(50.5%)than in male(24.1%),(?2=13.398,P<0.001).The number of mothers with gallstone is 13,and the number of fathers is 3.The prevalence of both parents or one parent with gallstone is 50%,while prevalence of siblings with gallstone is 28.2%,with 13 affected sisters and 7 affected brothers. The offspring of patients over 60 years old has a prevalence of 17.6%,with 2 daughters and 1 son. Conclusion:Gallstone disease is regarded with familial aggregation, and its prevalence in female is higher than male.Mothers may have stronger impacts on offspring than fathers do.There is no significant difference between offspring in prevalence. It may have the characteristics of autosomal dominant inheritance.
