Objective: To measure of vascular endothelial growth factor and its receptor in pulmonary sequestration and explore of its pathogen. Methods: Detected the protein expression levels of VEGF and its corresponding receptors about lung tissue of PS and normal lung tissue with immunohistochemisty. Results: VEGF,VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 staining was detected in PS and control samples. There was no significant difference in the expression of VEGF and VEGFR1 between the PS group and the control group, and the alveolar epithelium and the bronchial epithelium.VEGFR2 expression in the bronchial epithelium was stronger than it's expression in the alveolar epithelium in the PS group or the control group. There was no significant difference in the expression of VEGFR2 in the alveolar epithelium between the PS group and the control group. The expression of VEGFR2 in the bronchial epithelium was higher in the PS group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: The exact etiology and pathogenesis of pulmonary isolation is not clear. It may be related to the abnormal expression of VEGFR2.
